ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT 🏀🔥 | KISI

Building touch. Creating angles. Adding counters.

Kisi has been putting in work on his floater package, learning to finish from different angles and manipulate the ball around the rim — then layering in the spin move to create another option when the defence takes away the first look.

From footwork → touch → angles → counters.

The goal isn’t just having a move. It’s having an answer. 💯

Stagger screens create the advantage — the read determines what you do with it. 🧠🏀

Over? Attack it.
Under? Punish it.

Breaking down the offensive options and counters to keep the defence guessing.

Read the coverage. Create the advantage. Make the right play.

Drag dribbles aren’t just about getting downhill — they’re about creating the advantage and knowing what comes next.

Change the angle. Change the pace. Force the defence to react.

Different reads. Different counters. Same action. 🏀🧠

Breaking down the different options out of the drop and showing how each coverage changes the read.

Same action. Different coverage. Different solution.

That’s where the details matter. 🏀

Disadvantage creates decisions. Decisions create players. 🤯

This 1-on-2 constraint starts in the key with floaters and pull-ups only, forcing players to read the help instead of relying on layups. Once those reads improve, we layer in jump shots while keeping every finish off two feet to build balance, control, and game-ready footwork under pressure.

Floaters aren’t built by skipping steps.

We start by building the base:
👣 Split & pop footwork.
⚡ Slow pace into quick separation.
📐 The same movement from multiple angles.

Then we layer the finish:
🦘 Pogo into a one-foot floater.
🎯 Repped from different angles to build touch and adaptability!

Player Spotlight: Cooper 🎯

Today’s focus was finishing in game-like situations. We worked on perfecting his floater, then layered in relocations and reverse finishes to build the reads and footwork he’ll actually need in games.

Breaking the game down to what actually shows up.
🧪🧪🧪

3 scoring options, repeated at game speed.
Limited dribbles to remove overthinking.

Added defensive pressure to force real decisions,
then finished with live reps to test it. 💪🏻😤

Excited to announce I’ve officially teamed up with Peak Academy and Hoop Sports Performance as a new coach at the Oran Park facility 🏀

Ready to help athletes develop their skills, build confidence, and take their game to the next level. Big things coming and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of a great environment with great people.

Let’s get to work 💪

Didi Louzada × Lachlan McDonald

Always special when local players get the chance to work with guys they grew up watching. Same gym, same reps, learning from the level above.

Pure shooting work only:
🏀 pin-downs into quick feet
🏀 showing + popping off screens
🏀 1–2s, hop stops, inside pivots
🏀 step-backs with balance + space creation
🏀 no wasted dribbles, just rhythm

Different levels, identical shooting habits.
