Today we marked a milestone in our principal Kerry Coffey’s career. Kerry is tonight celebrating 35 years of service in education at a Department of Education function at Dingley International.
As the founding principal here at Bridgewood she commenced term 3 2017, nine years ago.
Prior to Bridgewood she was at Fleetwood PS for a number of years in the principal class as principal and AP. Before that she taught at Hallam Valley which became Fleetwood under her principalship.
Hampton Park PS was where she taught for years prior to Hallam Valley where she began leading teams early on in her career.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have Kerry as our principal.
Her breadth of experience has been enormously beneficial to us. She has taught all grades but prep, taught music and PE, and led teams, literacy coordination and numeracy coordination.
Kerry leads by example, and with great generosity. She is a fabulous mentor who takes pride in her school and also the development of staff to improve the government school system. All decisions are made with students at the forefront of her mind.
Our staff joined together today and would like to congratulate her on an incredible 35 years.
