|| Starr's Planetarium ||

Our Year 6 students had an out-of-this-world experience this week with an immersive incursion from Starr's Planetarium!

Inside the 360° 4K mobile dome, science communicator Gary Starr brought our NSW Science and Technology unit to life. With content sourced directly from NASA and other leading space organisations, our young astronomers explored the Solar System, mapped distant galaxies, and investigated the real-world science behind space exploration.

|| From our Ag Farm to the Podium ||

A huge congratulations to our students on their fantastic results at the Penrith Show over the weekend!

A major highlight was winning the Champion School Display Shield for our interactive calf milk-feeding display, with Lara B and Callum B impressing the judges with their industry knowledge.

Our students and animals also achieved excellent results across the show, including:

▪️Callum B – Champion Experienced Sheep Parader
▪️Our Dairy Calf “Xtra Beefy” – Reserve Champion in Dairy Calf Raising
▪️Georgia F, Katie Pand Douglass D-S– all receiving 2nd place in Cattle Parading
▪️Zara K – 3rd and Lara Bradwell – 4th in Cattle Parading
▪️Sophie N, Amaliya F, Esme M - all receiving 4th and Niahm W 5th in Sheep Parading
▪️Giselle M 4th and Esme M -Highly Commended in Sheep Judging
▪️Senior Cattle Judging Team – 3rd
▪️Senior & Junior Farmers Challenge Team and Senior Heifer Fitting Team – 4th

These results saw Arndell finish 2nd overall in the Animal Section of the Penrith Show!

The Agriculture Show Team is a proud part of the Arndell Co-Curricular Program, which offers over 50 programs to our students. Building on our ranking of 4th in the State for Agriculture last year, this opportunity connects students directly with our dedicated onsite Ag Farm. Through hands-on experience caring for livestock, students foster a genuine love for agriculture, master real-world skills, and develop lifelong teamwork.

We are excited to share some wonderful news that Arndell has officially been named one of Australia’s 5-Star Best Schools for 2026 by The Educator.

This national award is a significant achievement and one of which our entire College community can be very proud. The Educator’s 5-Star Best Schools program recognises schools that demonstrate excellence across a broad range of areas, including extracurricular programs, student support, technology in learning, safety and wellbeing, holistic development, and diversity and inclusion. Arndell is among just 33 schools nationally who were recognised.

|| Arndell Shines at the Snow Australia State Titles ||

Our talented student athletes enjoyed another phenomenal week on the slopes, proudly representing Arndell at the Snow Australia State Titles held at Perisher last week.

Taking on exceptionally strong competition from elite snow-region schools and dedicated clubs from across the state, our students displayed incredible resilience, sportsmanship, and skill in challenging winter conditions.

|| HICES Music Camp ||

Congratulations to our Performing Arts students Lacey, Pearl and Ethan on their contributions in this year’s HICES Music Camp. For three days students worked diligently with specialist conductors to prepare works for Concert Band and Choir, and then performed with excellence at the Sydney Town Hall on Wednesday evening. HICES Music camp occurs every year and is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn music at a deeper level and meet new friends from other HICES schools.

|| Arndell Tops NSW Interschool Championships ||

We are incredibly proud of our Equestrian Team, who have been awarded the Highest School Point Score after the recent NSW State Interschool Championships!

Adding to this outstanding achievement, Avalon McLachlan was awarded the Highest Individual Point Score in Primary, an incredible accomplishment competing against hundreds of primary school riders from across NSW.

These achievements are a wonderful reflection of the dedication, talent and commitment of our students across the many disciplines of equestrian sport.

At Arndell, we are proud to support and invest in our Equestrian Program, providing our students with opportunities to develop their skills, compete at the highest level and represent the College across NSW and beyond. We are committed to fostering an environment where our riders can pursue their passion for equestrian sport while developing confidence, teamwork and a strong sense of school pride.

It was a fantastic day of competition at Saturday's Equestrian Carnival! Despite the winter chill, our riders brought incredible spirit, making the event a massive success alongside our dedicated sponsors, judges, and volunteers.

A special thank you goes to our attending staff for their essential support, and to our Equestrian Coordinator, Imogen, this wonderful event simply wouldn't happen without your hard work and leadership.
