Animals Anonymous brought a variety of Australian animals to school this week, giving the Year 4 students an up-close look at the amazing adaptations that help them survive in the wild.

The visit tied in perfectly with our Geography unit on biomes, forests, savannas, deserts and woodlands, and came to life as students explored how animals adapt to their habitats. 🌿

Our Year 1 students have loved exploring Wild by Emily Hughes.

After enjoying the story and completing a variety of literacy activities based on the text, students ventured outdoors to gather natural materials for a special art project.

Inspired by the wild girl's long, tangled green hair, they used leaves, sticks and other nature treasures to create beautiful artworks of their own. It was a wonderful way to combine literacy, creativity and nature. 🌿
