Yesterday we had the immense pleasure of meeting and learning alongside one of the greats of our beloved sport. It is a rare privilege to be able to meet, learn from and get to know people you admire and we are forever grateful for Josh Saunders | JJ athlete | business owner giving us his time and knowledge! Honoured to have you, and we wish you well in your upcoming matches!

A huge congratulations to Brett on his promotion to Purple Belt 💜🥋
Brett is one of the most consistent training partners in the room and someone who truly lives and breathes Jiu Jitsu. He’s constantly studying the sport, refining his game and chasing the finer details and if you’ve ever rolled with him, you’ve probably felt the effects of that worm guard 😅
What makes this promotion even more special is the way Brett gives back to the room. He is always willing to share his time, energy and knowledge to help others improve and he plays a huge role in making our gym stronger. Quiet, patient and inclusive, Brett is a well respected senior member of our academy and someone who leads by example every time he steps on the mats.
We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve put into your training and this next chapter of your journey is very well deserved. Congratulations Brett, purple looks good on you!

📢 GB Nowra Long Weekend Closure 📢

Just a reminder that GB Nowra will be closed on Monday due to the long weekend.

We hope everyone enjoys the extra day to rest, recover and spend time with family and friends.

🔵 BLUE BELT PROMOTIONS 🔵

Over the last two weeks, we have had the privilege of promoting three outstanding young men to Blue Belt – Dan, Jacob, and Colin.

This milestone is about so much more than learning techniques. A Blue Belt represents commitment, perseverance, resilience, and countless hours spent showing up, putting in the work and embracing the journey of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Dan and Jacob have brought an incredible energy to the mats from day one. As twin brothers, they have pushed each other to improve while also contributing positively to everyone around them. Their athleticism, dedication, competitive strength and willingness to learn have made them valued members of our team.

Colin’s promotion is equally well deserved. His hard work, and determination have been evident throughout his journey, his consistency has reached a new level this year and he continues to set a fantastic example both on and off the mats.

What makes us most proud is not just the progress these young men have made as athletes, but the culture they help create within our GB family. They are respectful training partners, supportive teammates, and genuinely great people who make our academy a better place to be.

We are excited to see what the future holds for each of them. This is only the beginning of their journey, and we have no doubt that their dedication will continue to lead them to great things both in Jiu-Jitsu and beyond.
