What an outstanding goal! Australia does produce enough food to be self sufficient, that is why the export market is so big, but the infrastructure isn't in place for us to eat Aussie only food, and seasonality becomes a big thing! Small farms are the future!

Bolivia will be completely food independent by 2020 just by investing in its small farmers -- and keeping an aim of sustainability.

I love the last point in this blog post by Modern Farmer, when going through uni I thought I'd walk straight into a job, but it wasn't as easy as I thought. The startup scene is definitely for me, PASSION for agriculture, small farmers and a sustainable lifestyle!

Setting gates in the rain to bring sheep closer to the shearing shed, with the trusty Labrador too excited to sit still to get him in a picture! Such is the farm life, absolutely no control over weather, shearing didn't start for another 6days waiting for the wool to dry in some fine weather. Still have just one day to go!

Had a lovely few days over in the West! Just coming in to winter over there so farmers are all set for seeding this week with a nice touch of rain over the weekend. And back in to the swing of things in the Northern Rivers, with a nice welcoming splash too!
