The Teacha team is back and ready for a big 2026! 📝

As we step into the new year, we’re bursting with pride for all our learners and the amazing progress they made last year — from big jumps in levelled readers, to school literacy awards and most improved recognitions, and so many personal milestones. 📚💛

We’ve been busy preparing new activities, games, and reading challenges for our K–6 learners, and we’re also thrilled to welcome new members to the Teacha team to support even more learners on their reading journey.

As teachers, we are given the incredible responsibility of unlocking potential that sometimes even our students don’t see in themselves. But learning isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. Some children need more time, some need hands-on exploration, some need structure, some need creativity, and some simply need someone who believes in them 💛

This is for all our big and little superstars we’ve been lucky to support. We’ve watched their confidence grow and seen them take huge steps forward. Confidence is at the heart of everything we do at Teacha. For many of our learners, the first step isn’t just learning to read — it’s believing they can read 💛

We often hear from parents:
“I thought it was just my child.”

It’s actually really common to notice things like:

* words being forgotten from one sentence to the next

* guessing instead of reading

* avoiding reading completely

These little signs often show up long before a child is identified as having a learning difficulty — and spotting them early can make a big difference.

Parents often notice patterns before anyone else does, and what you see matters.

You might notice your child reads accurately but slowly.
That slowness is often a sign the skills are still developing — not a sign something is wrong.
Accuracy is the foundation. Speed comes naturally once the patterns become automatic.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month — and if you’ve been part of our Teacha community for a while, you’ll know this is something close to our hearts. 💙

Every day, we see learners who think differently, learn differently, and shine differently — and that’s something to celebrate. ✨

Dyslexia can be challenging, but it can also be a superpower. We’ve seen learners with dyslexia come up with the most creative ideas, find unique solutions, and thrive when given the right support 💪 So this month, let’s raise awareness, share stories, and remind each other: success doesn’t look the same for everyone!

What makes dyslexics excel as entrepreneurs? Read this brilliant article in The Times by Niamh Curran with brilliant advice from dyslexic entrepreneur Jess Woodward-Jones of CV company, Vizzy. It explains the research behind our latest campaign, which finds at least 1 in 3 entrepreneurs are dyslexic and contribute £4.6 billion to the UK's GDP, as well as creating over 60,000 jobs.

Through this campaign, and alongside our brilliant partners Virgin StartUp, Virgin Unite and Virgin, we're hoping to inspire the next generation of dyslexic entrepreneurs.
