Meet Axel 💙🐾

During a recent visit to our clinic, Axel unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest. Our nurses Olivia and Kira immediately began CPR, while Dr Natalie worked alongside them to provide the emergency care Axel needed. Thankfully, he responded well to their efforts.

Moments like this are a powerful reminder of just how important CPR training and teamwork can be when every second counts.

A huge thank you to for the practical CPR training they delivered to our team, helping equip us with the skills and confidence to respond when it matters most.

We’re incredibly grateful that Axel’s story has a happy ending. 💙🐶

Southern Cross Vet®️🧡 awesome work completing the veterinary CPR training today 🙏❤️🙌🩵 all the team kept working along with RECOVER Initiative guidelines, kept communicating with closed loop approach and looked out for each other during the training. Big respect attending this Sunday session on your day off to learn valuable skills and knowledge to save lives. 🐶🐱

We arrived in gorgeous Wauchope, NSW to run a CPR Workshop for the wonderful team of nurses and vets from Timbertown Vet Hospital this weekend.

We also had additional team from Wauchope Vets join the training session.

For the day we learnt the essential skills of veterinary resuscitation including theory and practicals.

When it comes to pet emergency, the team is ready.

We cannot control every outcome...

But we can control how prepared we are for the moment when everything matters for our patients.
