🐤🐐Our students absolutely loved meeting and interacting with the animals at the petting zoo during Science Week! 🐑💚
The petting zoo was a fantastic hands-on learning experience, giving students the opportunity to connect with animals, ask questions, and explore the natural world in a fun and engaging way.
Newcastle Middle School would like to thank the Australian Science Teachers Association for their National Science Week grant, which helped make this wonderful experience possible, along with funding support from Friends of Newcastle Middle School.
We loved seeing the excitement and smiles on students' faces throughout the day!🐐🐰🐓✨

⛵ NMS Winds of Joy Sailing Adventures 🌊🐬
We have some wonderful sailors at NMS who have recently had the opportunity to experience life on the sea as part of our Winds of Joy excursions!
While sailing around Newcastle Harbour, our students encountered ships, ferries, tugboats, jet fighters overhead and, to top it all off, a pod of dolphins who swam alongside us! 🐬 What an incredible experience!
Our students were wonderful ambassadors for NMS and embraced every moment on board with enthusiasm, curiosity and plenty of smiles. 💙
A huge thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers, NMS staff, and the dedicated Winds of Joy volunteers who made these excursions possible. We are incredibly grateful to Winds of Joy for providing this fantastic program free of charge, giving our students the opportunity to experience the joy and adventure of sailing.
A truly memorable experience for everyone involved! ⛵🌊🐬
