🔬This Science Week, we’re planting the seeds of curiosity!🧪

Science starts with a simple question: “I wonder what will happen?” And you don’t need fancy equipment to explore science with your little scientists – just a few things you probably already have at home!

Try this one out for size:

🌧 Rain Cloud in a Jar 🫙

Fill a glass with water and add a layer of shaving foam on top. Drop food colouring onto the foam and watch it fall through like rain.

The science: When the “cloud” becomes saturated with the coloured water, the water sinks through - just like rain falling from clouds.

Ask your little scientist:

❓“What do you think will happen?”
❓“Why do you think that?”
❓“What did you notice?”
❓“Would it happen again?”

Because every question is a seed – and every discovery helps knowledge grow. 🌱

Our children have been busy! Outside, our curious little chefs have been whipping up creations in the mud kitchens, planting delicious-smelling herbs in our veggie patches, making the most of the glorious winter sunshine while creating masterpieces and working on their sporting skills. ☀️🌿🎨⚽

Inside, the learning continued with experiments, investigations, and plenty of discovery.

Over at The Hub Preschool & Early Education Academy - Broadmeadow, the team is on a mission to adopt a koala! Children and families are collecting eligible drink containers to exchange for a donation, helping raise funds to support a koala through a conservation program. What a wonderful way to turn everyday recycling into something that makes a difference! ♻️🐨

At The Hub Preschool & Early Education Academy - Waratah, one meal has quickly become a children's favourite…Preeya's delicious Burrito Bowl!

Prepared with fresh, wholesome ingredients and plenty of love, it's a meal that's always met with empty bowls and happy smiles.

Our amazing chef, Preeya, is passionate about creating nutritious meals that children genuinely enjoy, helping to build healthy eating habits from an early age.

The best part? She's sharing her famous Burrito Bowl recipe with our Hub families so you can recreate this much-loved meal at home!

A huge thank you to Preeya for the care and passion she puts into every meal she prepares. We hope your family enjoys making this Hub favourite at home as much as our Waratah children love eating it!

💚 Weekly Wrap-Up at The Hub Preschool! 💚

What a fun-filled week it's been! Our centres embraced Pyjama Week, raising funds for the Pyjama Foundation while enjoying cosy days in their favourite PJs.

The adventures continued with campouts complete with imaginative campfires, Teddy Bears' Picnics, learning about the butterfly life cycle, hands-on science experiments and even walking with dinosaurs as we explored the fascinating world of prehistoric times.

Another week full of imagination, discovery, and making wonderful memories together at The Hub Preschool.

We also continue to prioritise the wellbeing of our educators, creating opportunities to connect, recharge, and support one another.
