It was very cool to hear this amazing author/illustrator duo talking about their books as part of the Newcastle Writers Festival! Reminded me that good things are coming!!

On my recent trip to New York I had a lovely time looking at picture books in incredible stores. There are so many talented authors & illustrators. Made me excited for the day mine are on shelves! 😊 📕

First day of my writing residency at Whibayganba - Nobbys thanks to Lighthouse Arts Newcastle, City of Newcastle and Port Authority of New South Wales. What a beautiful space to be creative in. So grateful. Bring on picture book 3!

The first picture book manuscript I ever wrote had a long journey to publication! In 2022 Lachie and the Worry Bugs was shortlisted for the Newcastle Writers Festival Fresh Ink prize and also shortlisted then awarded runner up for the Children’s Book Council of Australia (NSW) Aspiring Writers mentorship. It was another 3 years before I signed a contract for Lachie and the WORRIES to be published. Never give up on your dreams! 📕 💙

Welcome to my author page. 😊 As many of you will be aware, Kim passed away in September 2023. We set up this Stuckers page to share the YouTube videos we made during lockdown to help kids stuck at home. She suggested I could use this page if I was successful in my endeavours to have a children’s picture book published. I have now signed 2 contracts and I know she would be over the moon! Atticus Changes the Story and Lachie and the WORRIES are being published by Starfish Bay Publishing sometime from late 2026. Watch this space for updates. Thank you to all of you who are cheering me on. It means the world.

Our Stuckers page still receives followers and regular messages. Tragically, Kim passed away in 2023 after a short illness. She was the tech and logistic brains behind these fun videos that kept us sane during lockdown, and were watched all over the world. It still amazes me. Kim always said I should use this page as my author page eventually, so I’ve decided to keep it in her memory. Some news coming soon on that front! Thanks Kim for being the best Stucker ever! 💚💚💚 And big thanks to Pippi and Snowy too of course! 🐾 🐾
