We’re thrilled to invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place on Friday, October 25th, at the Treehouse, Callaghan Campus UON.

To make the event even more enjoyable, we’ll be hosting an Open Mic Night and providing pizza and drinks for everyone! In honour of Halloween, the theme of the night is Terrifying Histories - what does that mean? Up to you, but we have three prizes up for grabs: Most On-Theme Topic, Most Obscure Knowledge, and Most Valuable Knowledge (as decided by our executives). Additionally, there will be a Costume Prize, so dress to kill!

Historia Club is back for semester 2 with our first event. Our open mic night is on at 5:15 PM on the 12th of August.

Come share your historical passion! Meet your fellow club members and take turns presenting on any historical topic you want to discuss. Slideshows, artefacts and props, photos etc. all welcome.

Snacks, pizza, and drink will be provided, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

Will be held in the Treehouse, top floor of the Shortland Building on Callaghan Campus.

The people nominated for each role will be read out at the Annual General Meeting and then members will be given a chance to vote. The AGM will be held on Wednesday 18/10 (Week 12).

Last night we had our second Public Lecture and Open Mic Night of the year! Thank you to our executives/postgraduate students Rebecca Willis and Willow McClelland for giving such great lectures, and thank you to everyone else who got up and talked on our theme for the night: Mysteries, Misunderstandings, and Miscalculations.

Thank you to Maitland Gaol and to those who came along to the event for making our Maitland Gaol tour great! It was a very fun (and cold/creepy) night!

Thank you to all who came to our trivia and pizza night on Wednesday! It was a very fun time despite some cryptic horse-related questions. Congratulations to our winners!

Thank you to those who came to the lecture and open mic night yesterday! It was such a fun event hearing from different club members about their interests and opinions.
Dr Tanika Koosmen's amazing lecture on “The Changeling and the AI Child: Technology and Monstrosity" was followed by Historia members talking about the stories in political geography of Australias past, Darius the Great, the history of art, the Amazon queen Penthesilea, and the history of English gendered pronouns.

Our movie night is happening next week!
The results are in: the winner of our movie poll was Indiana Jones! We are currently planning on watching Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
