This morning I saw a really lovely teaching moment in our Wombat room (3 year old room). It was simple really. The task was for one of the children to get the water bottles from the trolley and give them to the children sitting at the tables ready for their morning tea. Not only did the child handing out the water bottles feel a sense of accomplishment, but the other children were remembering to say thankyou and to be appreciative of this task. Well done Wombat children and well done Wombat Educators.

This morning the children in the Wombat and Kangaroo room had a lovely visit from the ladies from the cultural centre for First Nations people. They read a lovely story about ‘How the Birds got their colours’ and then did some craft work afterwards.
