🐔🏡 A Fresh New Home for Our Chickens

Today, our chickens moved into their newly built coop, and the children enjoyed helping them settle in. It’s a wonderful opportunity for hands-on learning about animal care, responsibility, and nature.

We look forward to the continued learning and joy our feathered friends bring!

Bush Tucker Garden in Full Swing! 🌿🛠️

Our Kindy children have rolled up their sleeves and got to work the last couple of days, using real garden tools to help clear out old plants and churn the soil — ready for fresh soil and our bush tucker plants!

There was lots of teamwork, big effort, and even some surprise worm discoveries along the way 🪱💪

It’s all part of creating a space that connects us to Country, culture, and each other. We’re loving every muddy minute!

Listening, Learning, and Creating on Country

During this week’s Bush Kindy adventure, our children were invited to slow down and explore the meaning behind the symbols found in our Indigenous artwork.

Together, they shared thoughtful conversations about what each symbol represents – from tracks and waterholes to journeys and gatherings. With open minds and curious hearts, they then expressed their own understanding through drawing, connecting their learning to the land around them.

It’s moments like these that remind us how powerful nature-based learning can be – creating space for cultural connection, creativity, and deep respect.

We’re honoured to walk alongside our children as they grow in knowledge, empathy, and awareness.

To celebrate National Reconciliation Week, our children, families, and team are coming together to create something truly special — a community Bush Tucker garden edging the entrance of our carpark!

This meaningful project is a hands-on way for us to connect with Country, learn from First Nations knowledge, and grow together as a community.

This week, we took our first exciting step — purchasing some amazing native bush tucker plants! 🪴 Our Kindy children teamed up with Miss Ebony to research each plant, discovering what it gives us and what it needs to thrive.

We can't wait to watch this space transform into a beautiful, living symbol of respect, culture, and connection. Stay tuned for more updates as we grow!

🌞 Wear It Yellow for Children’s Ground – Wednesday, 28 May 🌞

This National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June), our service is proud to participate in the Wear It Yellow campaign to support Children’s Ground, a First Nations-led organisation dedicated to creating a brighter future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.

On Wednesday, 28 May, we invite all families to join us by wearing a touch of yellow. Together, we can show our support for self-determination, education, health, and employment opportunities for First Nations communities.

Curious Little Explorers

Our babies explored an ocean-themed sensory tray today, engaging all their senses as they discovered textures, shapes, and colors. Their curiosity truly leads the way in every learning moment! 🌊🐟

Building Bonds Across Generations

Each week, our kindy children take a special trip to visit the residents at our local aged care facility. These visits are filled with warmth, curiosity, and beautiful connections between generations.

This week, the children spent time chatting with the residents, exploring the lovely gardens, and even meeting some of the home’s feathered and finned friends—the resident birds and fish were a big hit! The joy on both the children’s and residents’ faces is truly heartwarming.

Through these experiences, our children are learning about kindness, empathy, and the value of community—one shared moment at a time.

Did you know we offer a Bush Kindy program? 🌿

We kicked off our 2025 Bush Kindy adventures today, and the children were fantastic! They practiced getting ready independently, walked safely through our community, and explored the bush while learning about nature, safety, and teamwork 🌳.

Bush Kindy is a unique part of our program that supports school readiness , builds confidence, and nurtures a love for the outdoors ☀️. We’re excited for more adventures ahead!

This week, our Kindy children took the next exciting step in their gardening journey—transferring our tomato seedlings into the worm farm garden in our large community yard.

These little plants have quite the story! They began as cherry tomatoes, which we cut open to collect and dry the seeds. From there, we planted them in soil, cared for them, and watched them grow into strong seedlings.

Now they’re ready to stretch their roots in a bigger space. We can’t wait to see how they grow!

This hands-on experience not only teaches us about sustainability and lifecycles, but also nurtures patience, responsibility, and pride.
