CAN YOU HELP?

As a school, we really value the funds raised through P&C fundraising, which go directly back into supporting our students and school programs. This year, our P&C is a little short on helpers and really needs the support of our school community.

Our P&C will be running the Bunnings BBQ at South Tweed on Sunday 13 September.

If you can spare a couple of hours to help on the day, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to Brooke, our P&C President, or contact MEPS P&C to volunteer for a shift. Any time you can give would be greatly appreciated.

What a wonderful day K-2 students had at David Fleays Wildlife Park! 🐨🐍

Our students loved meeting some incredible Australian animals, watching the amazing bird show and learning all about animals and their habitats. There was plenty of excitement, laughter and learning throughout the day, followed by a few sleepy travellers on the bus ride home! 😴

🌟 NEW PLAYGROUP AT MURWILLUMBAH EAST PS! 🌟

Calling all mums, dads, carers and little ones aged 0–5! 👶🧸

Our brand new MEPS Playgroup starts this Friday, 4 September, from 9:30–11:00 am at Murwillumbah East Public School.

Come along for a relaxed morning of play, activities and connection. It’s a lovely chance for little ones to explore, make new friends and become familiar with 'big' school.

🐨🌿 Stage 2 Paradise Country Excursion! 🦘🐾

What a fantastic day we had at Paradise Country! Our Stage 2
students enjoyed a fun-filled day learning about Australian animals and experiencing life in the country.

There were plenty of highlights, including the cheeky meerkats, lovable llamas and the amazing muster dogs showing off their skills! 🐕🐾

Lots of smiles, laughter and wonderful memories were made. A great day of learning, adventure and fun with our Stage 2 students! 💚

👕 MEPS Uniform Focus This Week! 👕

This week, our whole-school Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus is wearing our full school uniform with pride.

There is an expectation that all students come to school each day wearing their:
🔹 MEPS shirt
🔹 Navy shorts, skirt or long pants
🔹 Navy school jumper
🔹 School hat

Black or white socks and the MEPS school bag are also encouraged.

To make it a little more fun this week, we’ll be collecting uniform data across the school each day. The class with the highest percentage of students consistently wearing their full school uniform will receive a special reward on Friday! 🏆

Uniform order forms are available from the school, and uniform items can also be ordered online and collected from school. Second-hand uniforms are also available. Please contact the school if you need financial assistance to purchase uniforms.

We’re looking forward to seeing lots of MEPS pride around the playground this week! 💙
