Hi everyone! I am recruiting again for the final study of my PhD.
Smaller time commitment of 5.5h max; but heaps to gain in terms of learning how you utilise carbs/fats at different exercise intensities and resist fatigue during different hormonal phases. This knowledge can be used to influence your own training/race fuelling strategies etc!
PM for a more detailed information letter. Hope some of you will be able to help me out! Thank you. :)

Crit season is upon us, ladies!
🚴♀️ Want some quality, supervised high-intensity training to improve performance?
🚴♀️ Want to know which menstrual cycle or oral contraceptive cycle phase is best for recovery and training adaptations?
Check this flyer out - it's my last PhD study, let's make this a big one together. PM, or email me for more details! As always, help me help you. I'd be a VERY HAPPY camper if everyone drops me in the crits after the training block.... 🤓
P.S. Ladies above 45.. I could do a separate cohort for you. Just ask, we can chat.

The research team at Murdoch University and Cycling Australia would really appreciate as many of your participation to provide a more complete understanding of the current menstrual health landscape among female cyclists in Australia.
Intended research outputs:
1. Understand the prevailing demographic, beliefs, attitudes and practices of menstrual manipulation for sports
2. Develop and refine best practice approaches to training and racing based on the cyclists' prevailing cyclical fluctuations
3. Facilitate future study designs, particularly the selection of participant cohort
PM/ DM me or email me at [email protected] if you would like to learn more. Thank you!

To learn more about the prevailing perceptions and practices of menstrual manipulation for sport (e.g. oral contraceptive use), Murdoch University and Cycling Australia would like to invite female cyclists participating in all disciplines and of all skill levels to complete the ‘Australian Female Cyclist Menstrual Cycle Survey’. Completing the entire questionnaire should only take 10 to 15 minutes of your time.
So, whether you cycle on the road, track, trails or even pump track; or if you are a weekend warrior, an Olympian or a Masters athlete, we would greatly appreciate your participation such that more future research studies can be
designed specifically for YOU! For more information and to complete the survey, see here: https://murdochuni.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bmECxjGdDzHsR1z

Our resident full-time PhD student / part-time competitive cyclist, Serene Lee, is looking for FEMALE cyclists to be partake in her first PhD study.
This study will examine the effect of HIGH and LOW carbohydrate availability on endurance exercise performance and recovery from exercise in oral contraceptive using female athletes.
As a research participant, you will be provided with a detailed performance analysis upon study completion and also, be given personalised recommendations on how to potentially manipulate carbohydrate availability to optimise your training in different oral contraceptive phases.
The study consists of FIVE sessions (~1.5-3h each) and will be held at the Exercise Physiology Laboratory in Murdoch University. PM if you are keen and/or if you know someone who might be. Thank you!
