Drawing from a series of papers written with colleagues (Elizabeth Bare, Janet Beard) during the height of the pandemic, and with the lived experience of leading student retention at a regional university during Victoria’s lockdowns, Teresa Tjia will pose challenges and opportunities for an enriched student experience post-COVID on day 1 of the LHMI Conference.

The third LH Martin Institute Fellow Voices paper within the series questions whether there are other ways of achieving the desired outcomes within university professional services. The analysis also looks at whether there are lessons which can inform responses to COVID-19 and Government policy changes to focus on both strategic and sustainable outcomes, and maintain an engaged workforce throughout and on the other side.
