Hey Everyone!
Get excited for our 2024 clothes swap event! With winter behind us, it’s the perfect time to clear out your closet and donate items you won’t wear anymore. This swap runs from October 7th to 20th, so start sorting through your wardrobe! We welcome any items in good to excellent condition—if you wouldn’t give it to a friend, it’s not right for the swap. The event will take place in the common room with a table and clothes rack, and we'll keep it organized daily, so trade thoughtfully! Any leftovers at the end will go to Goodwill. We can’t wait to see what treasures you’ll bring! Happy repurposing!!!

Hi Everyone,
This is a post to remind you about your local TerraCycle station in the Vet school library (260.2.014).
By recycling the following items to the TerraCycle station, you will help contribute to the appropriate disposal of complex rubbish which would otherwise pile up in landfills and pollute our planet. Please see the photos for where to bring your recyclables.
What you can bring to the CASIG TerraCycle station:
-ANY brand of toothpaste tubes and caps, floss containers, toothbrushes, electric toothbrush heads.
-ALL brands of blades and razors and the rigid packaging they come in.
-Stationary inc: Pens, felt tips, highlighters, markers, correction tape, fountain pens.
-GLAD and other branded snack/sandwich bags, and Cling wrap
-ALL brands of glass or plastic skincare tubes, tubs, bottles and sprays, ALL brands of flexible plastic skincare packaging.
-ANY brands of old glasses
The infographics provide more details about what can and cannot be recycled at this station. If you’re unsure, we say ‘When in doubt, leave it out’, or simply send CASIG a message and we can guide you with your sustainable choices.
Furthermore, any blister packs can be handed in for recycling at the pharmacy area of The Animal Hospital.
At CASIG, we understand how challenging and overwhelming it can be to recycle appropriately. We hope that this will help you with your carbon footprint.
If you have any questions about this program, please email [email protected]
