Another PAQ Plumbing Breakfast done and dusted! 🥓🍳

Last week the Plumbing Apprentices Queensland team headed down bright and early to our new friends at Samios Burleigh alongside TAFE Queensland for another morning of good food and even better conversations with the local plumbing industry.

A big part of these breakfasts is simply getting out there, meeting plumbing businesses face-to-face and raising awareness of the different options available when it comes to employing and supporting apprentices through a Group Training Organisation.

A huge thank you to the team at Samios Burleigh for getting behind the morning and making us feel right at home. We certainly didn’t hold back on breakfast either, bacon, eggs, snags, hash browns, toasted ham cheese croissants, fresh fruit to go cups, juice and coffee! 👌

We’re looking forward to keeping these mornings going, meeting more plumbing businesses and continuing the conversation around apprentices, recruitment and flexible workforce solutions.

Three back to back weeks. Three supplier breakfasts. Countless valuable conversations.

Over the past few weeks, the Plumbing Apprentices Queensland team has been out on the road with help from TAFE QLD connecting with plumbing businesses across South East Queensland, talking all things apprentices, recruitment, workforce planning and the future of our industry.

A big thank you to our supplier partners Reece Plumbing and Tradelink for hosting us and to everyone who stopped by for a feed and a chat. Every conversation helps us better understand the challenges and opportunities facing our industry, allowing us to continue supporting both apprentices and plumbing businesses.

Whether you're looking to take on your first apprentice, expand your existing team or simply need a more flexible workforce solution, PAQ is here to help businesses of all sizes build and strengthen their workforce with confidence.

Building strong partnerships starts with getting out, listening and connecting, and that's exactly what these mornings were all about.

A big thank you to Reece Capalaba for helping host another Plumbing Business Breakfast this morning despite the rainy weather!

One of the biggest takeaways from this week's breakfast was the number of businesses struggling to find and retain quality apprentices and discussing how GTO's can help ease the pressure whilst providing more workforce flexibility.

A special shoutout to Harley Hopkins from TAFE QLD who stopped by to assist us on the BBQ whilst finding the time to chat with plumbers about formal training requirements!

We appreciate everyone who stopped by for a chat and look forward to continuing these breakfasts with suppliers across South East Queensland.

See you at our next stop, Tradelink Centenary Darra on the 24th kicking off from 6:00am! 🔧

Shoutout to Mark who has recently completed his apprenticeship through Master Plumbers very own Group Training Organisation, Plumbing Apprentices Queensland 🤩

Mark has spent the last 4 years working and studying towards his Certificate III in Plumbing and has worked with a range of plumbing employers, gaining valuable knowledge from organisations specialising in metal roofing, civil infrastructure, government projects, High Rise apartments, residential plumbing and commercial maintenance plumbing! 🛠

With all the skills Mark has built up its no wonder he has rolled into direct employment following the successful completion of his apprenticeship 🎉

We wish him all the best in his long plumbing career ahead 🎉

A big shoutout to Edward who has recently completed his Certificate III in Plumbing through our Apprenticeship Program 🎉

Edward has dedicated the last 4 years building his career with various host employers throughout SEQ and has now completed his time and rolled into direct employment with his host employer 😍

We wish him all the best in his future endeavours 🛠

In the month of June PAQ have been proud to attend two career expo's throughout the SEQ region! 🎉

Our first stop was the Ripley Valley SSC Raperdome Careers Expo 2026 where we met and spoke with school students varying from years 9 through to 12 and promoted the plumbing apprenticeship pathway and how to best get setup for success prior to commencing an apprenticeship 💪

Our second stop was the inaugural Redlands Youth Futures Careers Expo where we connected with young people searching for local training and education pathways, Employment opportunities & Support services and wraparound programs 😍

PAQ is dedicated to help create meaningful pathways for youth's and school leavers to support the next generation within the Plumbing Industry 🛠
