Hi to my past families.I am away indefinitely and have my home available to rent. I am up in Aurukun doing relief work in daycare working with our indigenous Australians, Wik, Wikway and Kugu people. As I flew into Aurukun I enjoyed the beauty of the view of the beautiful Archer River. Aurukun is 2 and 1/2 hrs drive from Weipa where my sister Sandi lives. The road to Weipa is closed due to wet season rain at present. I have set up these beautiful activites to do with the children during my stay.

Inviting my past families to come in and visit over the next 4 weeks. Tues Wed or Thurs from 9.30 am to 11.30. Please encourage your children to come in and show the younger children something that interests your child - we love to learn and Robbie loves to see you all again. Looking forward to seeing the children of Mudjimba Family Day Care's. Orlando has started the ball rolling. He is bringing in a didgeridoo💟. Thanks Victoria and Mathias. Looking forward to it.

It is with great sadness that I announce my retirement as a family day care educator. I have so enjoyed my last 6 and a half years working with families to create something very special for children. It is time to finish up and do something else. Thank you so much to my families, my children, my own family Jon and Hayley and C & R Cowling-Scaife who have totally supported me the whole way through to provide the excellent service that was offered here in Mudjimba, a great team effort, hopefully the 55 children involved will have some amazing childhood memories to treasure about the friendships that they made here and the community that they were part of. I have many parents to thank that made my part in this so special. So many I cant name here but have a look back at my photos and you will see them in the photos supporting their children, thank you so much. I hope your children grow up to be amazing adults. Please bring them back to say hello.

Whats happening here at the moment.

Today we enjoyed the Reggio Emilia side to Mudjimba Family Day Care with our painting and clay workshop in preparation for our art pieces to head to the Nambour Show Art Gallery. Artist Lynne Bennett from Nambour facilitated the art lessons while Robbie moulded the different levels of learning with singing, dancing to I'm a little teapot, setting up the studio with tools, paints, clay and displaying her teapot collection to the children throughout the morning. We talked about the Nambour Show and the children show a keen interest in the local event. We painted teapots and made clay teapot wall plaques which the children will paint once the air dried clay hardens.The children also enjoyed the sensory side to the paint and clay, squishing, stamping, finger printing, brushing, rolling clay, pressing clay, moulding and most of all using their beautiful imaginations to design their creations.Lynne finished up the morning with reading some great stories and we continued reading as she left.
