Doing a clean-out at home? We’re looking for good-quality, pre-loved dress-ups, puzzles and board games that could find a new home at Brightwater!

These items will help create more opportunities for play, creativity, connection and learning across our school. ❤️💙

If you have anything you’d be happy to donate, please drop it into the Front Office.

🌟💙 A WALK OF FAME FOR OUR SUPPORT STAFF! 💙🌟

Today we rolled out the Brightwater Walk of Fame for some very special people, our incredible support staff! 👏⭐

Our students lined the way to cheer, clap and celebrate the Teacher Aides, office team, cleaners and Schools Officers who do so much behind the scenes and across our school every single day.

It was a pretty special moment and a wonderful way to say a very BIG thank you for everything you do for Brightwater! 💙❤️

Austen was super speedy and answered 10 questions starting with the letter M! ⚡ Thanks to his quick thinking, he won the class individual passes to Amaze World, along with a temporary tattoo, magnet and lolly. How good! 🎉

📚✨ BOOK WEEK VIBES AT BRIGHTWATER! ✨📚

The Book Week energy last week across Brightwater was something special. From incredible costumes and favourite characters to plenty of smiles, laughter and excitement, our school was absolutely buzzing! 📖🌟

A huge shout-out to our students and staff for the amazing effort that went into making Book Week so much fun. You certainly brought the “Symphony of Stories” to life! 🎶📚

🏓 Year 6 PE – Pickleball! 🏓

Our Year 6 students have been having lots of fun learning the exciting game of pickleball in PE! 🎾

So far, students have been learning:
🏓 How to correctly hold and control the paddle
🎯 Different ways to serve the ball
💪 The forehand hit and how to use it effectively
🤝 Working with a partner and developing their rally skills

Students have particularly enjoyed putting their skills into practice through King and Queen of the Court, where they have been able to challenge themselves, practise their shots and have some friendly competition! 👑🏓

It has been fantastic to see students developing their skills, confidence and teamwork while having fun along the way! 🌟

📚🦉 AUTHOR VISIT AT BRIGHTWATER! 🦉📚

We loved welcoming author Jayne McIntyre to Brightwater to share her book The Feathers of Farwood and the Gripps’ Curse with our students! 🌟

Students had a fantastic time exploring the art of storytelling, the joy of reading and even some fascinating owl facts along the way. Jayne was especially impressed by the thoughtful questions and ideas our students shared. 📖🦉

A huge thank you to Jayne for visiting and helping bring the world of books and storytelling to life for our students! 💙❤️
