Toorak College is an independent all girls school from Kingergarten to Year 12.

Our mission is to empower students through academic and personal growth so they thrive in their future. We do this by:
• nurturing our youngest learners so they can develop their sense of self and connection to others while exploring the world around them
• challenging every student through diverse experiences to develop their confidence and unlock their potential
• empowering girls with knowledge

and skills so they can drive their ambition towards that which inspires them

Snow Sports Success

A huge congratulations to our Snow Sports team following the recent interschool competition on the slopes.

Across ski cross, slopestyle, moguls, alpine GS and snowboard events, our students achieved some fantastic results, including podium finishes, strong team performances and a number of National Championship qualifications.

A special congratulations to our Division 5 Ski Cross team on taking first place, and to all of our students who competed, supported their teammates and pushed themselves to achieve what they may not have imagined possible.

We are incredibly proud of the determination, teamwork and sportsmanship shown by our entire Snow Sports team. Well done to everyone involved!

Year 5 Melbourne Study Tour 🦋

Our Year 5 students recently headed into Melbourne to explore the history, stories and development of our city through some of its most significant landmarks.

From the MCG and the cultural role of sport in Melbourne, to Queen Victoria Market and the stories of trade and migration, students explored some of the many stories that have shaped our city. At Melbourne Zoo, they considered our changing relationship with the natural world and the history of conservation.

Through exploring the places where Melbourne’s stories have unfolded, our students are developing a deeper sense of curiosity, connection and place – and seeing their own city in a whole new way.

At Toorak, we know that achieving big goals takes persistence, courage and the willingness to keep going when things get tough.

For Year 5 student Orla H, that meant working towards her black belt through challenging training and a demanding grading.

“Reaching my black belt isn’t the end of my journey, it is only the beginning. And to anyone else who feels a goal is too tough, just remember: a black belt is just a white belt who never gave up.”

Congratulations, Orla, on an incredible achievement and on earning your black belt!

Last term, our annual Arts Week celebrated the creativity, imagination and talent of students across Toorak.

As part of the week, our Art Competition showcased an impressive collection of student artworks, each reflecting a unique perspective and creative voice.

🏆Congratulations to our Art Competition winners, with Olivia M and Annie Z taking out the People's Choice awards and Emma H receiving the Critic's Choice award🏆

Congratulations to all of our student artists and thank you to everyone who helped make Arts Week such an inspiring celebration of creativity.

Our SRC students explored this question last week through a creative activity 'The Anatomy of the Ultimate Leader'.

Their responses were thoughtful and insightful. According to our students, what makes a great leader is:

🏆 GSV Finals results are in! 🏆

The final week of term 2 saw our Year 7-12 GSV teams compete in GSV finals in netball, basketball, AFL and soccer.

🏉 Our Senior AFL Team (Year 9-12) played their Grand Final and took home the premiership with a convincing win over Lauriston.

🏀 Our Senior Basketball team showed incredible resilience, bouncing back from a qualifying round loss to Loreto to defeat them in the Grand Final and win the B Championship

Other GSV Finals competitions included:
🔵 Year 11 and 12 - 3 Senior A, B and C Netball teams
🔵 Year 9 and 10 - Inter A Hockey, Inter A Netball and Inter C Netball
🔵 Year 8 and 9 - Junior AFL9s, Junior D Netball and Junior B Hockey

We are incredibly proud of all of our students for their commitment, teamwork and determination across the season! 👏👏
