📬 Our students wrote to the Prime Minister and he replied!
As part of their Ancient Rome unit, HSIEINC students at Chifley College Mount Druitt explored how ordinary people throughout history have stood up against unfair laws and then asked: what would WE do?
Two students from Year 7-8 decided to write to Anthony Albanese calling for Australia to of criminal responsibility. This week, a letter came back.
Rome wasn't built in a day. Neither is justice. But it starts exactly like this. 🏛️✊

Our students dived into the fascinating world of DNA and genetics! 🧬 They created impressive 3D models of DNA structures and explored the cutting-edge field of genetic engineering through engaging slideshow presentations. Hands-on learning at its best—sparking curiosity and innovation for the scientists of tomorrow!

Our Chifley Connect meeting yesterday saw a great turnout of parents, carers and community members. The feedback, ideas and suggestions shared were greatly appreciated and will help inform future initiatives and strengthen our connection with the school community. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions.

Students from INC-Y participated in a practical experiment on decantation, investigating how mixtures can be separated using the decanting method. Through the activity, students developed their understanding of separation techniques and demonstrated their knowledge by explaining how decantation can be used to separate insoluble substances from liquids. The practical investigation supported learning through observation, discussion, and scientific inquiry.

7Y students recently conducted an investigation into paper plane design, testing different variables and observing their effects on flight performance. Through the investigation, they developed their understanding of fair testing, data collection, and the analysis of results while exploring the science behind flight.
