A huge congratulations to everyone involved in our first SA Schools Challenge performance! 🌟

Our 42 students (from Years 5-9) should be incredibly proud. They represented our school beautifully and delivered a performance that truly moved the audience.

We are thrilled to have won the Storytelling Award for the performance with the greatest emotional impact! What an incredible achievement and recognition of the students’ hard work and the powerful story they brought to life.

A huge thank you to Mrs Becker, Mrs Davis and Mrs Smith for their commitment, creativity and passion. Thank you for creating such an amazing opportunity for our students to step outside their comfort zones, work together and showcase what they can achieve. 🌟

Last weekend, Mount Compass Area School joined several schools across the Fleurieu Region in a collaborative exhibition at Goolwa Secondary College for SALA 2026. We are proud of all our students, from Reception to Year 12, for showcasing their artworks and demonstrating their creativity and talent.

Thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition and supported our students. It was such a wonderful event! 🖼️ 🎨 🖌️

A huge thank you to Andrew, Rachel and Chris, and our wonderful students Ava, Gracie, Chloe, River, Xander, Zahlia, Evie and Ella for getting their hands dirty and helping to brighten up our school grounds last week by planting out the area in front of our gymnasium.

Reminder: this weekend, Mount Compass Area School will be participating in an annual SALA festival group exhibition with schools across the Fleurieu Peninsula. The exhibition will feature a selection of works from our art students, from Reception through to Year 12.

This year, it will be hosted by Goolwa Secondary College. The exhibition will be open at their site during the following times:

Saturday, 15th August 10am - 4pm
Sunday, 16th August 10am - 12pm

Admission is free, so if you wish to see some amazing artworks, or if you're simply curious about what our students have been exploring in their art topics, feel free to stop in! 🖼️ 🎨 🖌️
