A big chapter of my love language is feasting.
While I adore the food component — the shopping, choosing, prepping, cooking, assembling, plating and presenting — it is what feasting facilitates that is the more favoured element.
Conversations that go deep, are ridiculous, and linger for hours.
Laughs that make it hard to breathe, bellies hurt and challenge the strength of your pelvic floor. Secrets revealed and dreams voiced.
Rendezvous’ that fester into friendships. Moments to learn. And the best, having time to ask 1000 questions of someone who piques your curiosity.
This iteration of feasting is much like a brand, in what is required to create it, but more importantly what is necessary to sustain and evolve it.
Your brand to others should feel like you’re inviting your nearest and dearest to dinner. They should feel chuffed that you chose them. And when they sit down, you are the hostess with the flare and mostest.
And remember, not every meal is the same. The guests and menus change — as should what your brand offers. Grand and intimate can co-exist. Local fare and gourmet delicacies can both be served.
Eating the same meal again and again. Nup, no thanks, no way. Give me seasonal menu with a plat du jour, or better yet, a chefs recommendation that changes daily and I’m yours.
What does your brand serve?
