This National Careers Week, the Office of Sport are excited to launch Her Future in Sport - a new series of tools, resources and content to inspire teenage girls to explore careers across the sporting sector 🩷

While women’s sport is growing rapidly, many girls still don’t realise the wide range of roles available beyond being an athlete or coach. From media and marketing to health, technology, design and management, there is a diverse range of career pathways to explore.

Developed together with teenage girls, our resources and tools are designed to be fun, practical and help girls connect their strengths and interests to future careers. 💻

If you’re a teacher, coach or parent, we encourage you to share the hub with girls in your community and help spark conversations about the many possible futures waiting for them in sport. 🙌

⚒️ Thank you to EPP and TAFE Moruya for your collaborating and enthusiasm in running our current Start Your Future course in Carpentry. So impressive to see how engaged our students are within the adult learning environment. Carpentry TAFE teacher even commented how impressed he was by “the practical skills our BBHS students brought to the workshop and knowledge of tools” as they work to build a foldable wooden chair ⚒️ Batemans Bay High School

National Careers Week is starting with an exciting Parent Info Session featuring Alana, Author of “Unserious Careers”- a book we have in our school library and an inspirational speaker who explains what those years after school can look like and what students can do now to prepare themselves for their next steps in a changing working world. Today’s SBAT sign up 👶 Imogen is starting a School Based Traineeship in Early Childhood and Care at our local Sunshine Bay Early Learning Centre who employs many of our BBHS Alumni as trainees.

What a wonderful opportunity for her to learn on the job and be paid whilst counting units toward her HSC.
