What a wonderful day celebrating our favourite books and characters! The students looked fantastic in their cerative costumes and had so much fun bringing their favourite stories to life.
From magical characters to brave heroes and loveable storybook friends, there were smiles everywhere!
A huge thank you to all the families for the time, creativity and effort that went into making the day special.

Yesterday we celebrated our amazing learning with a very special Yes Day! 🎉
Throughout the term, the children have been earning stars in our jar for showing positive learning behaviours, making great choices and demonstrating a wonderful attitude towards their learning. Today, they filled the jar and earned their well-deserved Yes Day! ⭐️
We enjoyed keepy-uppy, drawing with chalk outside, playing games and having lots of fun together. We also celebrated knowing all of our initial code sounds and alphabet sounds with homemade fairy bread and poppers! 🥳🍞✨
A wonderful day of learning, celebrating and having fun together! 💕

The school communities of St Colman’s and St Thomas’ joined with members of the Heartland Parish this weekend to celebrate the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion at St Thomas’ Church, Terang.

We congratulate Patrick Greig on receiving these sacraments and completing his Sacraments of Initiation into the Catholic Church.

We thank Fr George for leading the celebration and the St Thomas’ community for their work in preparing such a meaningful and special occasion.

We ask God’s blessing upon all the children who received the Sacraments and continue to hold them in our prayers as they continue their faith journeys within our community and with God.

Our students are lucky to be able to access F–12 Catholic Education that nurtures academic excellence and wellbeing and a strong throughout every stage of their learning journey.

As Catholic Education Week concludes for 2026, our commitment to giving our students the best possible opportunities in a caring environment is as strong as ever.

The mission of Catholic schools is centred around the integration of faith, learning, life and culture. This does not just happen in the classroom, but through the witness offered by teaching and non-teaching staff, and through the experience of the student being part of a community which models this integration in a life-giving way.

Enrolments for MRC are now open for 2027. If you’re looking for a holistic and quality education, we encourage you to contact our Registrar Nicole Darcy on 5593 2011 or visit www.mercy.vic.edu.au/enrolment-information/

Enrolments for our HCSN partner primary schools - St Patrick’s, St Colman’s and St Thomas’ are also now open.
