Today our school community came together for a special Reconciliation Week Assemblies as we reflected on the importance of truth-telling, respect, and unity.

We were privileged to welcome our ATSIM Director, Darren Garlett, who shared powerful insights with our students and staff about culture, connection, and reconciliation.

We were also honoured to have Hon Amanda Rishworth MP join us to present new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags to our School Captains, a significant symbol of our ongoing commitment to reconciliation and inclusion.

A highlight of the assembly was hearing from our students, Iluka, Harper, and Kailee, who proudly shared where their mob comes from and spoke about their cultural heritage. They paid their respects to the Kaurna people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and grow, and acknowledged Country with pride and dignity.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful occasion as we continue to learn from one another and walk together in the spirit of reconciliation.

Recently, our Years 6–12 students participated in the SACSA Swimming Carnival at the Marion Leisure Centre. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together, compete for house points, and enjoy a day of fun, fitness, and school spirit.

During our OSHC program this week, we’ve had an absolute blast building forts and getting creative with a huge collection of cardboard and boxes generously donated by Alex’s dad. These simple materials have sparked hours of imagination, teamwork, and laughter!

We’re so grateful for thoughtful contributions like this, sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference to an afternoon full of happy, engaged kids. The forts are growing bigger and better each day… and we’ll be enjoying them right up until they come tumbling down!

Our Middle and Senior Captains recently attended the GRIP Leadership Conference, a day focused on building practical leadership skills and strengthening their impact within our school community.

Throughout the day, students took part in interactive workshops, connected with other young leaders, and explored what it truly means to lead with purpose, initiative, and responsibility.

They were challenged to think beyond titles and recognise how small, consistent actions can create meaningful change.

We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school with enthusiasm, maturity, and pride. They’ve returned with fresh ideas and renewed motivation to make a positive difference across both Middle and Senior School. 🙌

✨ What a buzzing start to the term in High School! ✨

Our Week of Worship (WOW) was in full swing last week, and we loved having Pr Joshua Stothers join us all the way from Sydney. He shared powerful stories and encouraged our students to seek hope in God, no matter the challenges life brings.

Throughout the week, students explored what it meant to place their hope in God during the fun, the hard, and even the crazy moments of life.

It was incredible to see so many students stepping up and getting involved, leading music, hosting, running ice-breakers, designing artwork, and even managing behind-the-scenes tech!

Some highlights included arm wrestles, a brand-new theme song, stories from Pr Josh’s teenage years, and of course… a special pancake lunch on Wednesday!

WOW was such a meaningful time for reflection, growth, and connection with God, and we thanked everyone who was involved and took the time to connect.
