📚✨ The Magic of Book Week ✨📚

There’s something truly magical about Book Week… watching children’s faces light up as they listen to a favourite story, turn the pages of a well-loved book, and step into the world of characters they have grown up loving.

From superheroes and princesses to cheeky animals and beloved storybook friends, dressing up allows children to become part of the stories that have captured their hearts and imaginations.

Book Week is so much more than dressing up. It’s about reading, listening, imagining, creating, connecting and sharing the joy of stories together.

Because sometimes, a story isn’t just a story…
it becomes a childhood memory.

There is honestly no greater compliment than hearing that our families feel welcomed, heard, supported and confident when they leave their children in our care.

This is what we strive for every day.

A place where educators build genuine relationships with children and families.
A place where children’s interests are noticed and turned into meaningful learning experiences.

Washing Our Rubber Ducks!

Following yesterday’s sensory experience, the children continued their play by giving our rubber ducks a good wash! 💦 They explored water, bubbles and pouring while developing their fine motor skills, coordination and independence through hands-on, purposeful play.

Sometimes the simplest experiences create the most wonderful learning opportunities! ✨

Little Authors with Andy!

Our Kindy children were so excited to welcome Andy from Little Green Thumbs for a wonderful Little Authors incursion!

Through storytelling, creativity and imagination, the children were encouraged to explore their ideas and develop their confidence as emerging authors. It was fantastic to see their curiosity, participation and love of language come to life! 💚

A big thank you to Andy for creating such a fun and engaging learning experience for our Kindy children!

🌿✨ Our Environment as the Third Teacher ✨🌿

At ACE Academy, we believe the environment is more than just a space for children to play, it is the third teacher.

Our thoughtfully designed spaces invite children to explore, investigate, create, problem-solve and make their own choices.

Through natural materials, loose parts, open-ended resources and carefully considered spaces, we create environments that encourage curiosity, independence, agency and meaningful learning.

Rather than telling children what to do, our environments invite them to ask:

“What can I do here?”
“What could I create?”
“I wonder what will happen if…?” 🤔✨

When we slow down and truly consider our environments, we begin to see that every space, material and interaction has the potential to teach.

What a beautiful day at our Community Market! 💛

A heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful local vendors who joined us and shared their amazing businesses, creations and services with our community. Your support and participation helped make the day so special!

Thank you to all of our ACE families and community members who came along, supported our centre, visited the stalls, connected with others and supported our incredible local businesses. It was so lovely seeing our community come together, have a chat, share a laugh and enjoy the day.

And of course, a HUGE thank you to our amazing ACE Academy team and their families! From the planning and organising to setting up, welcoming everyone, helping our vendors, cooking sausage sangas and packing everything away, your teamwork, dedication and willingness to jump in and make it happen is truly appreciated. 🫶

Days like this remind us how special our community is. When we come together, we support one another, we support local, and we create a stronger community for our children and families.
