๐ฟโจ Nature Play Week has been an absolute hit at our centre! ๐ฑ๐
Our Butterfly 3-5 room had an incredible time exploring different natural textures during a sensory activity. The children walked on pebbles, soft bark, grass, sand, and water, while educators explained the origins of these natural elements found in our world. This hands-on experience helped the children connect with nature and understand how sensory activities support their learning and development, aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) principles. ๐ธ
Meanwhile, our Cocoon 2-3 room has been diving into the life cycle of a plant. Each child planted a seed, watered it, and took it outside to soak up the sun every day. Itโs been so exciting watching their plants sprout and grow, and the children are beyond thrilled to see their hard work paying off! ๐ป
They also used fallen leaves from our trees to create beautiful artwork, turning them into hair for their creations, a fun activity that encouraged creativity and a deeper connection to the natural world. ๐ณ๐จ
Weโve had such an amazing time this week, filled with learning and play, and we canโt wait to see what activities the coming week will bring! ๐ฟ๐
