Reminder that we have our VSBA Opening Ceremony Special Assembly this morning at 9:45am.

We also have a save the date for the 29th of August to allow students and families time to prepare for the Book Week Dress Up Day.

Please note the important information below that has also been sent through a Compass post.

Dear parents/caregivers,

Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding the organisation and management of the Industrial Action that I now can confirm, will go ahead for Thursday 23rd July.

I appreciate and understand that you have been listening and watching the news and are aware that an agreement has NOT been reached.

The Australian Education Union has called on its members to take stop work action as a result of this.

Findon Primary School will be significantly impacted, with the majority of staff (teachers and other employees) not available onsite on this day.

Attendance for children of critical service workers, families with special circumstances who are unable to make alternative arrangements, students with a disability and/or in Out of Home Care, will be prioritised.

Due to the reduced number of teachers onsite, the school will operate a supervision only program, rather than a normal teaching and learning program.

Their Care will be working on this day as per normal in the morning and after school.

Please note the following important information:

1. Students are to enter the school via the front gate at 9.00am. All other gates will be closed.

2. If a student attends, they are to go to the BER building as students will be mixed across Foundation to Year 6.

3. Students who DO NOT attend, will not be marked as absent. Instead, they will be marked according to a ‘Strike Work’ code on Compass.

I thank you for your support with this and understand that this will be challenging for many of our families however we will support to the best of our ability.

Here's a look at Week 2.
Monday is the first session of the F-2's Swimming Program.
This will run every week for the next 8 weeks.
On Thursday, the AEU has proposed an Industrial Action Day for staff.
What this looks like for Findon is currently unknown, but we'll update you as soon as we can, stay tuned!

It's almost the end of the school holidays.
We're only a few days away from the beginning of Term 3!
Enjoy the last few days, we'll see you all again on Monday!

Students finish up today at 2:30pm.

Here's a look at the last week of Term 2!
We have Parent Teacher Interviews on Wednesday, be sure to get your bookings in on Compass. Students are only to attend school for their interviews.
Thursday is Pyjama Day (see the second image for details), we also have our Bakers Delight special lunch for anyone who has placed an order. Orders closed yesterday.
Our final assembly for the term will be held on Friday June 26th at 9:15am.
We finish for the term on Friday June 26th at 2:30pm.
