On behalf of our broader community, we congratulate Meagan Ngo, the Dux of Mentone Girls’ Grammar for 2024, who attained an ATAR of 99.85. Meagan also achieved a perfect study score of 50 in English.

Our Dux Secundus is Emily Cullen, who achieved an impressive 99.5.

Both young women held senior student leadership positions at the School during their final year, worked with dedication and commitment to their studies, and are to be commended for these outstanding results.

We congratulate the Class of 2024 on their outstanding VCE results.

The Class of 2024 has achieved exceptional individual and collective VCE results, with 76% of the cohort ranking in the top 20% of the nation. Their results once again place Mentone Girls’ Grammar amongst the highest performing schools in Victoria and as a leading educator of girls. For this, significant thanks must be given to the exemplary educators at our School who, with dedication and skill, enable our students to achieve their personal best.

Celebrating the Class of 2024, it gives us great pleasure to share the following data:

5% of students achieved ATARs of 99 and above.
18% of students achieved ATARs of 95 and above.
41% of students achieved ATARs of 90 and above.
76% of students achieved ATARs of 80 and above.

The median ATAR is 89.4 and the median study score is 36.

As we celebrate these accomplishments, we are reminded that success is not solely measured by numbers or accolades but also by the character, resilience, and compassion shown by each student. We are confident that the Class of 2024 will carry the values of Mentone Girls’ Grammar with them as they embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Today we farewelled Bianca Jones, a beloved member of our School community and graduate of the Class of 2023.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.

Bianca was a beautiful young woman in every sense of the word, who lived her life with great spirit and unbridled enthusiasm.

An active participant in School life, Bianca was a proud member of Kent House. She excelled as a nimble and speedy forward in the School’s AFL team, however, it was probably off the field where she shone brightest, building team spirit and encouraging her peers to give everything a go. Known for her caring nature and bubbly personality, she loved spending time with her friends. Bianca will be fondly remembered and profoundly missed.

Vale Bianca 🌹

Women Blazing Trails

Our founders, the Simpson Sisters, had a simple but powerful educational philosophy: that a woman should be bold, do one’s best, and never, ever give up. A philosophy that has shaped many generations of young women who followed, and continue to thrive at our School 125 years on.

Hear from some of these very women, as they share their personal stories and reflect on how Mentone Girls' Grammar empowered them to become the trailblazers they are today.

Celebrating Our Legacy 125 Years On

We were honoured to welcome our community to the National Gallery of Victoria on Saturday evening to commemorate our 125th Anniversary.

Generations of students have passed through our School's gates, beginning their journeys as young girls and leaving as confident, capable young women - trailblazers ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges life presents.

This milestone was celebrated with our parents, Alumnae, staff, and friends, enjoying entertainment from Midnight Mix and memories from MGG Old Girl, Natalie Box as we reminisced and also looked ahead, focussed on continuing to empower future generations of trailblazers.

We extend our thanks to everyone involved in organising this special occasion, and to our community for making it an incredible night of celebration.
