Kilbreda Past Pupils/ Alumni Network Committee

An important part of our role is to assist you to connect/reconnect with former students from your time at Kilbreda and with the Kilbreda community. We are able to assist you with planning and organising Reunions. Each year a number of groups hold a reunion, particularly decade reunions. Some reunions are held at Kilbreda, some include a visit to Kil

breda as part of their day. The committee is able to provide contacts for your year group, advertise your event on the Kilbreda Past Pupils’ page and the College website. If you would like to include Kilbreda in your celebration we can commence your visit with drinks and nibbles, conduct tours and a trip up the Tower. Order forms for Plaques for the Tower are available for anyone who wishes to have one placed in the Tower. We look forward to receiving your enquiries and assisting you with your reunions. Please contact Denise Leonard Committee Chairperson at [email protected]

It was wonderful to come together last Friday to celebrate Foundation Day and reflect on 122 years of Kilbreda’s story, community and Brigidine tradition.

We’re pleased to share some highlights from this special celebration with our Past Pupils community.

As part of their Living Legacy Project, Kilbreda’s current Year 12 VCE Vocational Major students recently welcomed back past pupils Mary Gamble (Class of 1956), Elizabeth Grundy (Class of 1966) and John Chapman (attended 1946-47) for three special afternoons of conversation, reflection and connection.

The visits provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn directly from former Kilbreda students, exploring how school life, opportunities and expectations have evolved across generations while reflecting on their own experiences as young women preparing for life beyond school.

Through stories of friendships, traditions, sporting achievements and memorable moments, Mary, Elizabeth and John brought the College's history to life. From Mary's recollections of attending the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, to Elizabeth's reflections on student life in the 1960s, and John's entertaining stories of farm life (including a rather terrorising rooster!), students gained a deeper appreciation of the experiences, values and sense of community that continue to connect generations of Kilbreda students.

The conversations inspired thoughtful discussion and encouraged students to appreciate the rich legacy they are part of, while recognising the confidence, resilience and sense of community that continue to shape the Kilbreda experience today.

Thank you to Mary, Elizabeth and John for sharing your stories with our VCE VM students and helping keep Kilbreda's living legacy alive.

“They’re creepy and they’re kooky…”

Past Pupils are warmly invited to support the next generation of Kilbreda performers in our 2026 Junior College Production of The Addams Family Young@Part!

Opening next Thursday 18 June, students from Kilbreda College and St Bede's College will bring this beloved musical to life with humour, heart and plenty of spooky fun.

We'd love to see members of our past pupil community in the audience as these talented young performers take to the stage.

PAST PUPILS IN STEM – WE WANT YOU!

Kilbreda College is seeking past pupils working or studying in STEM fields who would be interested in returning to the College to inspire and connect with our current students.

We are currently inviting expressions of interest to be involved in our STEM Morning Tea on Wednesday 16 September.

This event provides students with valuable opportunities to hear firsthand about the many pathways and possibilities within STEM careers, while connecting with past pupils who once walked the same halls.

Whether your field is science, technology, engineering, mathematics, health, environmental science, data, research or beyond, we would love to hear from you.
If you are interested in being involved in the STEM Morning Tea, please email [email protected]

We look forward to welcoming our past pupils back to Kilbreda and continuing to foster our students’ passion and curiosity for STEM.
