Roblox isn’t “just a game.” It’s a platform.

One that blends games, social spaces, and spending
prompts, all in one place.

If your child is spending more time or money than you
expected.
If Roblox is starting to replace offline play, learning, or
connection.
You’re not alone.

your family.

School holidays and gaming can feel like a perfect storm. More free time. Less routine.

Kids don’t game just for fun.
They game because it meets real human needs:

Connection - feeling included
Competence - feeling capable
Control - having something they can manage when the world feels busy

So when school, friends or structure drop away, gaming naturally fills the gap. The key is to find that healthy balance. That’s what we help families do at GameAware.

If you're a parent looking for support this school holidays reach out to us via our website. We can help.

As the year comes to a close, we encourage families and young people to slow down, reconnect, and approach this season with care and compassion. Progress doesn’t pause over the holidays, sometimes it simply looks like rest, reflection, and being kind to ourselves.

Wishing our GameAware community a balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling Christmas
