Booking will officially open VERY soon. That’s if we don’t sell out behind the scenes first 🤭

With over ten years of industry experience as both a musician and early years educator, Louise is proud to be able to write and deliver music education sessions that are designed to engage, challenge and nurture your child's intelligence.
Today in class, we shared this exact musical play.
Then I came home and rediscovered this video after my VA (shout out to Val 🤍) suggested I reshare this old content.
It stopped me in my tracks.
These tiny shared moments of play quietly become part of your family’s story. And years later, they come back to you in the most beautiful little echoes.
This unexpected full-circle moment has brought me so much joy today. 🌿
I hope you try this play at home and that it brings your family just as much joy too. ✨
Like all good folk songs, there are a few different variations in melody and lyrics for this song. 🌟 ☀️ 🌙
Here is how we have been playing this term in our 3-5 year old instrumental studies class. 🎶
Our main focus? Teamwork, form, accent beat and FUN. All foundations for effective music making.
I think they nailed it!! 🤩
Would you like to see more ways we play with this song?
Things are getting SERIOUS!! Pre-order opening soon 😍
I’m always preaching about the importance of nursery rhymes… but today, I got to feel their impact on a deeply personal level.
Usually, time with my grandma looks like cuddles, hand squeezes, and quiet moments.
Dementia has slowly taken many of the conversations from us. Sometimes she forgets what we’ve just said. Sometimes she forgets who we are.
But nursery rhymes have become a gateway for my children to connect with her.
The deeply embedded childhood rhymes and actions seem to unlock something and offer a bridge for connection and shared experience. They are one of the few places where we can all meet together.
Nursery rhymes are heritage, memory, tradition, and connection passed down through generations. I’ve preached this for years, and now I’m seeing firsthand how they’ve become a way for my children to build real memories and genuine bonds with their great-grandma.
Nursery rhymes have become loving memories of my grandma for my children. They’ve replaced sitting together with play and bonding.
What a gift that is.

We have been enjoying it in our family class groups but it is just as engaging and fun with a couple of students too 🍭
This could be a tasty sneak peak at some of the play coming up during our food term. 😉
We have been having so much fun with this beautiful Mabel Watts poem in class.
We have a couple of additional ways we explore this play in that invite classroom collaboration and promote each child’s uniqueness- just like a flowers 🥰

The wonderful thing about investing in long-term music making is watching how your children grows and evolves over time.
For me, both of my children started as quiet observers.
Taking it all in.
From there, my son became our all in learner
and my daughter became the loud and proud with strong all in foundations.
Same space. Same experience. Same parenting style but completely different expressions ❤️
