🧱🌍 Happy World LEGO Day! 🌍🧱

LEGO is so much more than just play, it’s also a powerful tool in early learning.

At Explorers, we love how construction play invites children to think like engineers, storytellers and collaborators.

Digging into discovery 🦖

Our Boobooks Kinder Explorers have been travelling back in time, learning about change on Planet Earth.🌍

Using clay, dinosaur skeletons, shells and ferns, the children created their own fossils. They then carefully excavated them with brushes and tools, just like real Palaeontologists!

A hands-on adventure full of curiosity, patience and wonder.💛

Connecting with Land and Country🌿

Recently, one of our centres was honoured to share a powerful Welcome to Country with Craig.

Children explored culture through storytelling, music, artefacts and a special smoking ceremony.

A beautiful way to begin 2026, deepening our respect for the land we learn and play on each day. 💛

Share the Harvest, Learning Together🌱

Our Explorers were bursting with pride as they harvested a big basket of fruit from the garden.🍊🌿

Moments like these spark meaningful conversations about where food comes from and about sharing with community.

What a joyful reminder that learning grows best when it’s shared 💛

🌿Nature Atelier🌿

One of our centres transformed their Kindergarten outdoor area into a beautiful, calm nature atelier.

At Explorers, we're always innovating, and this space encourages children to pause, observe and connect.💚

Patterns emerge, stories unfold, and nature becomes both teacher and inspiration.

🌊🐢Learning about our ocean🐢🌊

Inspired by a child’s family trip to Indonesia, our Kinder children were exploring Sea Turtle Conservation.

Through creative play, children investigated how humans can impact and protect fragile habitats, learning about the natural world. 🌍

Magical Spaces Inspired by Somerville✨🎨

At one of our Explorers centres, their Imaginarium area brings the magic of our Artist in Residence program at Somerville to life.

Here, children plan, sculpt, design, and problem-solve using recycled and unconventional materials.

They're discovering new ways to innovate through play, connecting their learning at Somerville, and their natural curiosity.

Early Learning Inspired by Reggio Emilia

Explorers Early Learning offers quality Reggio Emilia inspired child care and kindergarten for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old.

Explorers runs an Emergent Curriculum which focuses on interest and play based learning with a philosophy inspired from Reggio Emilia. We encourage collaboration, communication and exploration.

We create spaces and play experiences that appeal to children; connecting experiences so the child can further their interests and deepen their play. Our play spaces respect children as capable individuals by providing them with authentic materials & tools, cared for by the children and the adults.

Strengths of Explorers are our Indoor/Outdoor Program and complimentary Extras Program, including our Gardening & Sustainability classes, French Language Program, Music & Movement and Speech Therapy.
