๐ We Are So Proud of Our Alumni โ Connor Metcalfe! ๐
Following Connor Metcalfe's incredible achievement of scoring his first FIFA World Cup goal in his very first World Cup appearance against Tรผrkiye, we wanted to let everyone know just how proud we are of everything he has accomplished. ๐ฆ๐บโฝ
Connor was part of the Maribyrnong Sports Academy during Years 8 and 9 and showed exceptional talent from an early age. One of his junior coaches was our current Head Football Coach, Adrian Mazzarella, who often speaks about Connor's dedication and willingness to always do that little bit extra to improve his game.
His journey from MSA student-athlete to Socceroo and World Cup goalscorer is an inspiration to all of our current and future students.
Here's to goal number two, Connor! ๐โฝ๐๐

๐ฅ๐ **Judo Nationals on the Gold Coast!** ๐๐ฅ
With Akos Kelly sidelined after surgery following a successful European campaignโwhere he achieved an outstanding 5th-place finishโthe rest of the team was determined to show they could represent their club, state, and MSA at the highest level despite his absence.
๐ฅ๐ฅ **Luis Maddalozzo** stepped up in spectacular fashion, winning **Gold** in both the **U18** and **U21** divisions. This was a remarkable achievement, requiring tremendous mental strength to move from being Akos' regular training partner and rival to claiming two National titles of his own.
๐ฅ๐ฅ **Gabriel Talledo** continued the excellent progress he made in Europe, defeating opponents he had never beaten before. His efforts were rewarded with a **Silver Medal in the U18 division** and a **Bronze Medal in the U21 division** in a highly competitive weight class.
๐ฅ **George Garcia** also returned home with a **Bronze Medal**. Considering George dislocated his thumb just a few months ago and was in doubt for the Nationals until the last minute, this result is a fantastic achievement and a testament to his determination and resilience.
๐ A fantastic effort by all three athletes.

While Jin and Sam made it through to the final of the French Open they went down 6-4, 6-3 in the Quad Doubles Final. An amazing effort by Jin to make his first Grand Slam final. Plenty more to come. Well done Jin
