Gym Must-Have #7: Resistance Bands 💪
Don’t underestimate these—resistance bands are one of the most versatile tools you can bring to the gym.
Use them to:
✔ Improve your stretching (no partner needed)
✔ Activate hips and shoulders before training
✔ Build strength and support movements like pull-ups
They’re lightweight, easy to carry, and perfect for all fitness levels—from beginners to advanced.
Simple, effective, and seriously underrated 🔥

Gym Must-Have #3: Compression Pants/Shorts 🏃♀️
These might seem like a “nice-to-have,” but they can actually make a real difference to how you feel during and after your workout.
Compression gear is designed to support your muscles and improve blood flow, helping deliver more oxygen and nutrients where they’re needed. The result? You can feel stronger during your session and less sore afterwards.
Research (including from the Australian Institute of Sport) shows compression wear may help:
✔ Reduce muscle soreness
✔ Improve circulation
✔ Support faster recovery
If you want to train hard and bounce back quicker, compression shorts or tights are a solid addition to your gym kit 💪

Gym Must-Have #2: Water Bottle 💧
It might seem basic, but this one makes a big difference.
If you’re not properly hydrated, your workout will feel harder than it needs to. While staying hydrated throughout the day is key, sipping water during your session helps regulate your body temperature and keeps your energy up.
I’ve seen plenty of beginners struggle through workouts simply because they didn’t bring water—don’t be that person.
Pro tip: bring a bottle that holds at least 1 litre (and ideally clear so you can track your intake).
Simple, affordable, and one of the easiest ways to perform at your best 💪

Gym Must-Have #1: A Towel 🏋️♀️
Simple but essential—always bring a towel to your workout.
When you train properly, you’re going to sweat (that’s the goal, right?). But standing there dripping, wiping your face with your shirt… not ideal.
A towel keeps you comfortable, helps you stay focused, and is just good gym etiquette too.
Don’t overthink it—just don’t forget it! 💪

The miracle isn’t that I transformed my body.
The miracle is that I had the courage to start.
