How many times have you started something with all the hope in the world, only to feel that creeping fear of slipping back into old patterns?

Be kind to others, they said, and I always have been. I've made it my mission to spread kindness wherever I go. But in my mission to be kind to others, sometimes I forgot one important thing thing: to be kind to myself. So, every now and then, I kept reminding myself to be kind and compassionate towards myself.
It is easy to forget, especially if we grew up in environments where no one told us to be kind to ourselves, and where people pointed fingers at us and bullied us.
You would never tell someone you love, "You are stupid," would you? Yet, how many times have you said that to yourself? We are often our harshest critics.
Think about the last time you made a mistake. Did you berate yourself endlessly? Now, think about how you would react if a friend made the same mistake. You would likely offer them words of encouragement and support. Why not extend that same kindness to yourself?
Being kind to yourself is a very important. Giving yourself the same compassion and understanding that you so freely give to others, recognising your worth and treating yourself with the respect you deserve.
When you are kind to yourself, you create a positive inner dialogue that can help you to face life's challenges with grace and resilience.
Next time you catch yourself being overly critical, stop, pause and ask yourself: Would I say this to someone I love? If the answer is no, then it's time to change your approach. Be gentle with yourself. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, and forgive yourself for your mistakes.
Being kind to yourself is the foundation upon which you can build a life filled with joy, peace, and fulfillment.

By setting a clear intention, you begin the day with focus and purpose. One simple way to do this is through โI amโ affirmations. For example, saying โI am worthyโ or โI choose peaceโ sends a clear message to your mind. It helps you shape how you feel, act, and respond to things around you.
When you say โI amโ statements, you are training your mind to look for positives and stay balanced, even when challenges come up. This small morning habit can lift your mood and give you strength to handle anything that comes your way.
Read this mantra today and repeat it as many times as you like: โI am worthy, I am resilient, I choose peace, I attract abundance, I am full of love and joy.โ
Repeat this affirmation often and see how different you feel by the end of the day.

Sound bath meditation is a gentle yet powerful way to enter a deep state of relaxation, often leading to a meditative experience where people feel peaceful, sometimes see colours, or even have a lucid, dream-like experience.
In this quiet state, the mind calms down, making it easier for the brain to accept the healing vibrations of the sounds. These sounds come from instruments tuned to healing frequencies, helping the body and mind rest, release stress, and feel refreshed.
Recently, I was invited to conduct a sound bath meditation for a birthday celebration in someoneโs home, where four generations of the family joined in the experience together. For some, it was their very first time trying a sound bath. Some family members were quite religious, and it was a beautiful reminder that healing frequencies are universal, welcoming people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
It was beautiful to see how the session brought them closer as a family. Some felt a deep connection with one another, and others mentioned feeling a sense of healing and peace.
It fills my heart to see them bond through sound meditation. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do โ helping people relax, reconnect, and share in healing experiences theyโll remember together.
