The devotional Leader must be true to the old adage, “let neither the criticism nor compliments weigh you right”. We must be unafraid to sit in our own experience and our own truth and not take it personally either way.

It’s important to review and reflect when someone is critical of you, and the way you’re doing something. Be self-reflective, learn more about yourself. However, there is a very good chance they’re projecting their own s**t on you.

Here is another shadow side of being a Sacred Leader: people will work their stuff out on you.

Energetically, even before you say a single word publically, your choice to answer that call within to lead is going to activate (aka trigger) others. So just by you existing, showing up and leading yourself through your congruence and devotion, you will become someone that others will project their stuff onto.

Whenever that happens remember that it’s not about you. It’s not your job to fix or repair or control everybody’s opinion of you. Even though we all have often been tempted to want to do that.

It’s a really good indicator that you are doing your work well if you activate others. If you make everyone happy all the time, you’re probably not actually doing anything. If you’re being politely approved of all of the time, you’re just letting everyone stay in their comfort zone.

And my job as a leader is not about your comfort about your evolution.

So if I’m constantly approved of by people, if everyone’s loving what Ricci is doing, I probably haven’t gone far enough. I probably don’t know what I stand for. I’m probably not provoking or agitating others into awakening. So, be prepared for that.

If you want to be liked or you rely on external validation, don’t be a sacred leader.

There’s a good chance that you won’t always be liked.

Meet our founder

RJ started the Institute in 2014.

From the beginning, our work has always been about igniting the Priestess Mystic Leader archetype in women.

Reconnecting women to their holy power by creating a deep self-trust in their intuitive knowing.

RJ created the Institute to be the intuition university, offering academic rigour, ethical best practice and professional excellence in an unregulated industry.

We have served hundreds of women globally.

RJ is a speaker, author and principal of the Institute, but above all she is a teacher, dedicated to transforming the perception of intuition from a new age trinket into the highest form of intelligence we possess.

The women I serve as they embody Priestess. Mystic. Leader. are not particularly ‘special’.

They are not necessarily born leaders or the gifted few. What makes them extraordinary is not their talents or modalities or skills.

It is simply their willingness to descend into their own underworld and meet their innate holiness that makes these women (including non-binary and femme identifying) such glorious demonstrations of the true power of their God/dess selves.

Each one of them learns how to serve at the will of God/dess, consecrating all that they do, setting their ego desires aside and instead of pandering to the addictions of fear, they go within and sit face to face with it.

Right up close and cosy.

Through their devotional practices they hunt down that fear for it has the ability to show them exactly where their work lies.

They have learnt to hold their own container and be their own guide.

This is how their training leads them to become powerful scaffolds for their clients.

They need only be a few confident and hard won steps along the path ahead in order to be the bridge, a humble, divine servant of God/dess.

For no other reason than the call to service being so great they could not turn away from it.

They are fully human, yet fully divine.

They are the wild ones.

This space of radical acceptance that comes with the path of the Mystic is a profound experience.

All the identity attachment melts away because we are no longer trying to be something. To get something. To understand something.

We experience Mother God Consciousness first hand because we have stopped pushing it away.

That’s what we do the majority of the time. We resist the very voice of wisdom because of our striving.

Our task is to recognise that our relationship with our Mystic is always about overcoming belief. We become nothing. And the everything is revealed.

I’m going to say it again.

We cannot claim our place as spiritual leaders AND privilege the comfort zone. Our lives are not going to look like everyone else’s.

The world of muggle reality is not for us, at least not in the same way. When I see women who have met themselves as the leader trying to masquerade as polite good girls it breaks me.

But I use it as medicine to break me open instead of letting it break my heart. Ultimately, I can lead you to your truth but I can’t make you believe it.

This is the uncompromising path of the spiritual leader, one who has been born to birth the new paradigm.

It isn’t for the faint of heart because we have very big work to do, work that has been assigned us by the Infinite. I see you dear one.

The women I serve are extraordinary because they resisted the pull to choose the fearful path even though it meant being criticised and judged. They chose their truth. In the face of being ‘rejected’ by those who were not ready to go where they were ready to go, they stayed true. I bow to them.

Have courage today. Stay away from wanting an ordinary life. You’ve been invited to change the world. Stay true. It’s ok to disappoint others. They cannot see what you see. But I see you.

To do that we must put down our limiting beliefs.

Even the ones that are so precious to us, our trinkets and superstitions that we love so dearly because they give us comfort and they help us explain ourselves when we can’t.

This is an uncomprimising path dear ones.

We cannot entertain beliefs that are incongruent with the truth of who we are - pure unlimited conscousness.

That’s no small undertaking and requires time, devotion and support to dismantle the beliefs we have adopted unwittingly as well as those beliefs that the illusion we live in can cause us to accept as truth if we do not stay passionately focussed on what we truly are.

Evolution requires letting go of the safety of the known.

Evolution and intuition are inextricably linked, and they are qualities of the Mystic.

The more we evolve our consciousness the clearer our connection to our Mystic grows. We are breaking bonds with external programs and activating our inner authority. This is the path of the Mystic: the one who perceives beyond.

Intuition is inner authority. The more we trust ourselves, the more we trust what cannot be understood with the mind, the more we perceive our intuition and do not doubt it. Do not doubt that we are that which we perceive.

The Mystic must be honoured, her needs tended to. They are not earthly needs. They are subtle and tender.

Stillness.
Silence.
Solitude.
Steadiness.

The more we honour these necessities, the more sounded we are to the subtle realms. We must have times of retreat.

Otherwise the world will drive us mad, solidify us, weigh us down, dull our connection to truth. To mystery.

Safety then becomes trust in ourselves. Nothing outside of us can provide the safety we are seeking.

Stop being so shocked by the state of the world. We have been spiritualising the ego and calling it an awakening, and the reckoning time has come.

It is time for us to get over the indulgent, immature idea that our spiritual path should make us more comfortable.

The spiritual path is the most radical of them all.

It is revolutionary.

It is the power that creates reality.

And the perceived ‘sickness’ we see in the collective right now is a reflection of how we have used our spirituality like despotic tyrants tending to the wants of our ego.

Fierce devotion is the antidote to the spiritualised ego.

Fierce devotion sets our souls free from the chains of fear.

Fierce devotion is radical and rebellious.

It’s ok for us to sweat for our freedom so that we can offer that freedom to the world.

Fierce Devotion is a six week sangha for sophisticated spiritual women who yearn for a container that meets them in their holy power.

The world is crumbling around us.

Good. Let it crumble. All of us on the path know reality is in desperate need of an overhaul.

The question is, what do we create in its place? And how do we sustain ourselves through the chaos?

I only have one answer for everything. Intuition. But now I see that intuition must be of a very particular kind.

Spiritually mature intuition. Spiritual maturity is the antidote to the chaos within ourselves and in the world.

How do we do this?

Our humanity is beautiful and wild and needs us to show up to it in all its fullness.

It’s ok that being highly sensitive and empathic doesn’t make us special. It’s time to make this normal.

These are basic human needs, not special spiritual rarities. We are One.

We all need these things. Let’s get over ourselves, so we can create a reality that works for the greatest good.

Individual spiritual maturity creates collective spiritual maturing.

I am not fixated on healing.

I am in fierce devotion to my shadows as humble servants of my awakening.

I could have collapsed into this memory, this pain.

I could have run from it or distracted myself trying to pretend I could ignore it or squash it.

But I am a fear huntress. Because I know it is the only way to access my soul’s freedom.

I am a fear huntress in fierce devotion to the underworld of my being because it is where the work happens.

And because I have trained myself I feel no fear in the face of these holy messengers.

Subconscious fear is the path of liberation.

It is righteous. It is holy. When you know how to bow before it and put your head in the demon’s mouth.

Not as failure but as true humility. As the opening to grace. As the door to sacred power.

This is the work and it does not end.

But it does get lighter and more joyful.

To feel fearless in the face of fear. Knowing that it is the path home.

Fierce devotion is your training ground to know how to productively work with subconscious fear as a tool of spiritual liberation.
