Now more that ever we need to pay attention to our thoughts, feelings and emotions as our mental health and wellbeing comes under attack.
As the world sees individuals being isolated at home, with no human contact and an unsure and insecure future it is easy to begin to worry and be anxious about the future.
People are worried about how they will survive, pay their rents, put food on the table and just how they will live.
Many people have lost their jobs, lost their livelihoods and feel the financial pressure of isolation.
With no one to talk to and nothing to take our minds off the worry, it is very easy to spiral in our thinking and think there is no hope. It is easy to become depressed, anxious and worried.
We need to give our minds and thinking a break. To turn our attention, even for a little while to something that can take our thinking off what is happening around us.
To focus our thoughts on something that can bring us encouragement, hope and a healthy way to express our emotions and feelings.
That something is helping you to see differently by focusing on your creative faculties to draw, colour, paint, create and make. To begin using your creative tools of perception, imagination, intuition, and observation to engage the mind on opportunities.
To teach your mind to redirect its attention and give your mind a much needed break.
So over the next 30 days, we will be posting black and white drawing images that you can print off at home and use your creativity to colour, print, use copic markers, whatever you have to create artwork which can give you a much needed pause.
The artwork is designed in conjunction with meditations which are free and available through the Thought Temple App, alongside all the other meditations which have now also been made free.
So take advantage of turning your mind and focusing on something else to give you some relief amidst this turbulent time. Allow your frustrations, disappointments, and worries to be expressed on paper instead of yourself and each other and start looking after your mental health and wellbeing.
