🌟 How to Find the Gradient at Any Point on a Graph Using a TI-Nspire 🌟
Want to quickly find the gradient of a curve without doing manual calculations?
Your TI-Nspire can do it for you in a flash!
🖥️ Here’s how:
🔑 Steps to Find the Gradient at a Specific Point:
1️⃣Graph the Function:
Enter your function into the Graphs app (e.g. y=x^3-4x+2).
2️⃣Select the Gradient Tool:
Press MENU, go to Analyze Graph, and choose dy/dx.
3️⃣Choose the Point:
Type the x-coordinate directly.
4️⃣Read the Gradient:
The gradient (slope) at the specified point will appear on the graph.
Example:
For y=x^3-4x+2, if you want the gradient at x=2:
Enter the function, follow the steps, and the calculator will show the gradient is 8.
📌 Bonus Tip: You can also use the numerical derivative function in the calculator page for a quick calculation:
Enter d/dx(expression)|x=value.
