Are you a woman studying at a Victorian university in 2026? You may be eligible for a Graduate Women Victoria Scholarship.

Valued between $3,000 and $8,000, this scholarship seeks to support women who are Australian citizens or permanent residents who have experienced disadvantage while pursuing their graduate studies. Two scholarships valued at $5,000 each are also on offer for Indigenous women enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate degrees.

Associate Professor Louisa Willoughby's pioneering work has delivered Australia’s first credential for Deafblind interpreters, the world’s first 3D Auslan fingerspelling generator and a revitalised Signbank dictionary used daily by over 2,500 people.

Her initiative, Breaking Barriers in Communication: Transforming Access for Deaf and Deafblind Australians, is making a real difference by improving communication access and inclusion for Deaf and Deafblind communities across Australia
