Out and about with MECEC 🌱
Last month, our Mooroolbark Early Childhood Education Centre crew took their learning on the road for a visit to the Mooroolbark Community Garden.
Before heading off, the children learned how to cross the road safely and what the garden's coloured cards mean - red for stop, yellow for wait, and green for ready to pick!
Once there, they explored garden beds bursting with herbs, veggies, strawberries and even a few buzzing bees, played in the fairy garden, and helped our kinder teacher Bri pick some treats to bring back to kinder. The children even made a little donation to thank the garden's hardworking volunteers 💚
Just another day of learning through play (and a few muddy shoes) at MECEC.
