From lost and drained to healing and clarity, grateful to walk with you šŸ«‚

Mumma Karins is what she calls me. 🄹

I’ve been a pseudo Mumma for Hannah for over 12mths now. A Mother figure. A warmth she’s softened into and a strength she’s been able to rely on.

Whilst she wasn’t born from me, she’s one of mine.

We invited her into the safety of our family nest at an incredibly difficult time for this beautiful young human.

It’s cracked me open in ways I never thought possible.

As this bird prepares to fly our nest, to begin the next chapter of her life, I’m reminded of the healing power of safety, and love.

The impact Mothering has. What softness allows. What gentle care facilitates. How unwavering commitment to stay the course matters.

I love you all, my darlings. My big kids.

Being present with our people doesn’t have to be fancy. A Physics run through while cook’n dins is our current connection vibe. šŸ„©šŸ’—šŸ’«

I didn’t always take great care of myself when my kids were young.
I often found myself feeling overwhelmed, resentful and endlessly moving through cycles of burnout.

Back then, the only way I justified doing something for myself was running myself into the ground. Pushing myself to exhaustion before finally ā€œdeservingā€ a break.
Martyrdom was my badge of honour.

In truth, I wasn’t connected to myself and my needs as a woman and Mother, I had a whole stack of beliefs that were negatively impacting my views around self care and rest and I didn’t have the skills to communicate my needs.

Now? I take incredibly good care of myself. Not just for me, but so I can show up fully for the people I love and the clients I support.

The women I work with choose me because I get their struggles. I’ve been there. I’ve walked in their shoes. And I’ve done (and continue to do) the deep work to change it.

So, if you’re ready to shift from overwhelm to empowerment and want someone who truly gets you, I’m here.

Good morning ā˜€ļø

21/02/2025

I traded my girl in today 🄹
I’ve been wrestling with the idea for about 12mths if I’m honest.
I was finding it increasingly difficult to justify the cost of rego and insurance when I only rode occasionally AND my 48yr old perimenopausal body wasn’t coping so well on longer rides. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

Thank you to Matt Dandenong for being gentle with me and sharing your story of selling your pride and joy after your first bubba was born.

I did adore her and I will miss experiencing that feeling of freedom you only get on a motorbike šŸļø AND unleashing my inner bike chick. šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜

Today reminded me that we can and often do, experience a range of emotions at the same time.
That we can feel tender and saddened by the decisions we make, even though it’s clear they’re the right ones for us in that moment.

Here’s to exploring new ways to express my inner badass! āœŒļø

When we arrive at that point where we’re prepared to be brutally honest with ourselves and admit that our lives and relationships just aren’t as connected, fulfilling and pleasurable as we’d like, it’s often difficult to know where to begin to course correct.

To know how to gently start moving in the direction of what feels good and true for us.

I’ve got to agree with Michael in that adjusting our habits can and does create change. Big change. šŸ’„

However, if you’re anything like me and the majority of women I coach, knowing this and putting it into action are two VERY different things.

For majority of us, if we could have course corrected by ourselves, we would have by now. Wouldn’t we? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

There’s a hell of a lot we CAN change and create on our own AND in my opinion, there’s some stuff we won’t and can’t without the guidance and support of a professional with some really cool tools.

So, if you’re done with the bandaid solutions and ready for a deep level of support to help you create the positive sustainable changes you desperately want for yourself and those you love the most, let’s connect.

Together, we’ll find the clarity you’re seeking and slowly begin changing the trajectory of your life.
It’s time you valued YOUR needs and desires as much as those you love the most.

I walk with my sister-in-law every Monday. It’s our weekly ā€œtherapyā€.
We laugh, cry, share deeply, hold each other accountable and maaayyybeeee sometimes talk about our husbands šŸ˜

Melbourne’s weather is well known for being ā€œMelbourne weatherā€ 🤪 and we walk anyway.
Rain, wind, hail, sunshine. We just go.

Today’s rain reminded me that often we make excuses, put things off or wait for the ā€œrightā€ time to do things.

We would have missed out on all the goodness that came with today’s ā€œtherapyā€ session if we had allowed being a little uncomfortable to get in the way.
Aaaannnddd I absolutely would not have enjoyed the hot shower as much as I did on my return home šŸšæšŸ˜

Growing up, my Dad owed his own business and one of my favourite things to do was pretend to be his secretary.

I had a receipt book 🧾 an old 80’s push button phone ā˜Žļø and a VERY professional secretary voice! šŸ˜‰

It was important to me that I represented the company well and that I was very helpful when ā€œclientsā€ contacted me for service calls or when something had to be fixed.

I absolutely loved it. I reckon I was still ā€œdeskingā€ (which is what we called it) til I was about 11 or 12yrs old.

Tomorrow morning at 9am I’ve got the opportunity to be on air with OAM for Pinter’s Ponderings.

Beverley is an author, former councillor, board member and has a deep passion for helping the disadvantaged in our community and is all about spreading love and kindness and generally making the world a better place.

Tomorrow we’ll be talking all things:

*living more authentically

*cultivating more joy in our lives

*what keeps us stuck and shackled to the past and what we can do to move forward

*creating positive, sustainable change in our lives

*tips on navigating times of uncertainty and feeling lost

Hopefully the old ā€œprofessional secretary voiceā€ isn’t too rusty and together we can spread some goodness over the airwaves.

It’s time. I’ve got you šŸ’—
