Hafidh Muhammad Gondalwi
(D. 1405H/1985) رحمه الله

Sh. Al-Albani (rahimahullah) is reported to have said:

"I have not seen under the sky anyone more knowledgeable than the Hafidh, the Muhadith, Muhammad Gondalwi. He was an Imam in all fields, he was from the greatest scholars of the Indian sub-continent".

Allah has blessed this Ummah with the people of knowledge in all parts of the world. This has been the case throughout history, there are too many examples to mention.
Just take Muhammad ibn Ismaeel Al-Bukhari (rahimahullah) as an example.
He was not from an Arab background, he was born in a place which is located in modern-day Uzbekistan.

Likewise, today and throughout modern history we see the same pattern. We have people of knowledge strong on the Sunnah everywhere in the world alhamdulillah, from West Africa to Indonesia. Knowledge and it's people are not restricted to a specific race or region.
Let's make an effort to know about them and their efforts, so that we may become more open-minded and understand the different challenges people have in different countries.
May Allah be pleased with all of our scholars. Ameen!
