Kids Kickboxing - Primary aged children 6 yrs to 12 yrs: develop confidence to defend themselves, safe, non competitive classes. Classes : Point Cook

Kids Kickboxing is an innovative Muay Thai program which was designed specifically for primary school aged children between 6 -12 years. MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS : 11 Wincott Cres, Point Cook 5.30 - 6.15pm

Classes : set at 10 participants per session & run during school terms. Costs: Payment can be made weekly or each term. A yearly membership is also required. Gradings fee apply for each rank. Unif

orm & protective equipment : Training top is supplied with membership. Kickboxing shorts, gloves & shin guards can be purchased through us. Developed out of a need to provide a safe and exciting training system which keeps young minds enthused and at the same time, provides fast tracked self defence skills. Kids Kickboxing has a grading system that has been modified to enable young kickboxers to gain a solid grounding in both the physical and mental aspects of Muay Thai. All grading requirements are taken from the senior Muay Thai curriculum but are spread out over a much longer time frame. As Kids Kickboxing students learn similar skills as their older counterparts they can easily move into the older group once they are both confident and old enough. The aims & objectives of the Bob Jones Martial Arts Kids Kickboxing Program are to develop:

* basic Muay Thai Kickboxing based training
* basic self defence skills
* a healthy attitude to sport
* a healthy attitude towards self
* co-operation with others
* basic discipline

But most of all to have fun! Mark & Julie Connell the instructors are qualified martial arts and kickboxing teachers. They have trained in Australia, Thailand. Japan & Indonesia for the last 35 years.

What a pleasure these two are to train with. Siblings, Hannah & Malachi, impressed us with their ability to work well together to show off their developing skills. There was a noticeable change in coordination, power & control. Well done on achieving your Module Two Orange Patch.

Happy Holidays to everyone from Connell Muay Thai Kids Kickboxing Womens Self Defense. We will see you in February 2026 when the Kids Kickboxing classes get into action again.

Its not often you welcome 1, let alone 2, new Black Patches to your club. Congratulations Jasper and Tyson for kicking and punching your way consistently through many years of training to achieve this level.
Thanks to your parents who have motivated you to continue after each grading to achieve this goal that few attain.
Jasper and Tyson have trained together for years and demonstrated Training for Strength Together! Well done.

Olly, Soke Bob's mascot, has joined us this term after travelling around Australia to celebrate 55 years of Bob Jones Martial Arts. He has been a great addition to our club and the kids love him. He has helped with classes doing stretching, pad work, playing games and recently assisted with gradings. Thanks Olly!

When one of the littlest students, missed her grading due to the flu going around here, we have to run a special grading just for her. Luckily Olly, our mascot, was there to help out. Congratulations Lana, you did very will to achieve your Yellow Patch!

Rounding off the year with solid gradings is always a pleasure. Lucas took the first step to Yellow Patch, while his sister Zoey leapt easily to Orange Patch.
Conor, Noah, and Archie put in strong performances to achieve the level of Blue Patch. Their sparring was a highlight.
And Anaya, who has trained for a number of years worked hard to accomplish her Brown Patch with great focus and determination. We thank parents who have supported these students and wish them well into their next rank.

Strong kids just keep getting stronger! Jordan and Annabelle kicked easily to Orange patch. Their skills have improved!
Lavinia and Rory worked hard to achieve their Green patch. Smashing Kru Mark and I in the sparring! Fun times 😆🙏

Celebrating 40 years of Martial arts. 15 years ago, our lad, who had come through the kids karate program, did his senior Shodan grading [1st degree black belt] grading. Pictured with Soke Bob Jones who showed us the martial arts path we have followed. The family that trains together, stays together.

These kids warmed up the room with their gradings tonight. It was great to see Jasmine, Malachi and Hannah earn their 1st patch by exhibiting solid punching skills.
Saanvi kept working and achieved her Brown Patch. Very strong display kicking the pads!
