Thank you, Jackson and Rachel, for your testimonial, which I feel compelled to share (how can I not?). I'm thinking I might need to stick at this wedding work for a while longer! It really was a pleasure officiating your wedding last Saturday at Hellenic Museum, Melbourne!

"John was the most perfect celebrant we could have hoped for. He is the ultimate professional and made us feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. What we loved most about John was that he wanted the ceremony to be our version of perfect, allowing us to tailor it to our preferences and being all too happy to accomodate our requests. On the day, John was warm, articulate and had the perfect balance in facilitating the ceremony whilst not overstepping or taking attention away from Rachel and I. We couldn't be more grateful to John for bringing our love story to life and creating an atmosphere that we will never forget. We recommend John to any couple wanting a warm and professional celebrant that will go above and beyond to cater for their needs and make them feel cared for."

Congratulations Rachel and Jackson on your wedding! So glad I was the celebrant to make your union official here at Hellenic Museum, Melbourne, especially as I've known you, Jackson, for your entire life. You're a beautiful couple and I wish you a long and happy marriage! :) *Btw folks, I never post pics of a couple on their wedding day, until they've had a chance to do so.

Waiting for bride, groom (Vivien and Keiran) and their bridal party to arrive for our wedding ceremony rehearsal at Gardens House, Royal Botanic Gardens. Heaven on Earth; never tire of these gardens. :)

Yesterday I did a ceremony in Williamstown overlooking the sea. It was a commitment ceremony for a couple, two talented artists who met at art school many years ago. It was a true celebration of the couple's love for each other and their amazing young daughter. Although Celeste, one half of the couple, wasn't present as planned, she was listening to the event from her hospice bed (after a long battle, her body was finally succumbing to cancer). In the early hours this morning, beautiful Celeste passed away, with her loving partner and daughter by her side. As a celebrant, there are times you feel particularly honoured as you carry out your role. Yesterday's commitment ceremony (it wasn't a wake, but a joyous celebration of love) is right up there as one of those times. My thoughts go out to Celeste's partner, their daughter and other loved ones. May they draw strength from Celeste's boundless love and incredible courage, now and always.

Now for some shameless self-promotion...

Thanks Amelia and James for your 5 star review on Easy Weddings (copied below). Love my work as a celebrant! :)

"I'm so glad we chose John as our celebrant. He took the time to get to know us, to understand our relationship and our family, and he communicated this to our guests during our ceremony in the best way possible. He was very supportive and accommodating to all our wishes for our ceremony. Many of our guests made comments to us about how amazing John was! We highly recommend John as a celebrant."

Newlyweds, Bianca and Dallas, with their sisters as witnesses, on their wedding day last April at Harvest Home, Avenel, Victoria. Oh and that's me on the right and I was honoured to be celebrant. :)
