๐ This session will explore how global perspectives relate to the Civics and Citizenship, and Economics and Business curricula, with a focus on how the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade supports international development, invests in our regionโs future, and upholds its legal and ethical responsibilities to the UN. This session will also introduce the new Australian Government โGlobal Educationโ learning modules, suitable for Years 3-10 students, that are grounded in civic and economic principles and ready to use in your classrooms to build studentsโ understanding of the world and foster the social competencies required to engage in global affairs confidently.

๐ผ New video: What do higher oil prices mean for inflation?
๐ก The Reserve Bank of Australia's latest โWhatโs Going on in the Economyโ video explains why inflation has increased recently, and how higher oil prices affect inflation. It also links directly to key concepts such as cost-push inflation, demand-pull inflation, and inflation expectations.

๐ป A quick reminder for teachers to register their class for the Reserve Bank of Australiaโs upcoming Monetary Policy Unpacked webinar.
๐ Delivered by an RBA economist, the session introduces how monetary policy works and how interest rate changes affect the economy. Students will take part in an interactive activity, hear insights on the May 2026 decision, and join a live Q&A.
