🌏 How can we help students understand Australia’s role in the Indo-Pacific and the importance of global citizenship?
📣 Join us at the 2026 BEA Biennial Conference for Our Indo-Pacific: Engaging Students in Australia’s Development Partnerships with Katrina Davey and Rachel Flenley from Education Services Australia (ESA).
🎓 This session will explore how global perspectives relate to the Civics and Citizenship, and Economics and Business curricula, with a focus on how the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade supports international development, invests in our region’s future, and upholds its legal and ethical responsibilities to the UN. This session will also introduce the new Australian Government ‘Global Education’ learning modules, suitable for Years 3-10 students, that are grounded in civic and economic principles and ready to use in your classrooms to build students’ understanding of the world and foster the social competencies required to engage in global affairs confidently.
🧑🏫 Join educators from across Australia in Melbourne on 18–19 June 2026 for the only national conference supported by the BEA and its state and territory affiliates focused on Years 7–10 Economics and Business & Civics and Citizenship.
