Early this year we set out our first community jog saw puzzle (depicting wardapi Jukurrpa Dreaming, from the Warlukurlangu artist community, published by Kakadu Plum Co.). This was completed last night! Thank you very much to all the members of the library community that helped to out this together while taking a break from work or study.
We'll leave the complete puzzle upstairs for another day or two, but we'll have a new jig saw puzzle later this week.
Showcasing New Testament rare books from our collection ...
Anticipating New Testament scholars from around the world for the Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas conference, who will be in Melbourne, 23-27 July, we have put together a small exhibit of books by some of the speakers. Come by and have a look!
In light of our upcoming community reading event (6th August), we are pairing Tish Harrison Warren's Liturgy of the ordinary with Cal Newport's Digital minimalism. Here is a quote that captures Newport's definition of digital minimalism: "A philosophy of technology use in which you focus your online time on a small number of carefully selected and optimized activities that strongly support things you value, and then happily miss out on everything else" (Newport, 2019, 28).
